Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2022)

That looks freaking amazing. How on earth did he sculpt and even more of a question mould the mouth!
The detail on that is seductive.
I Know, looks amazing in the 'flesh', may fill in the pupils though. He has the look of an old timer to him.

Santa. a.k.a. the GLS man dropped this off today. The sum of a pile of gift certificates I got for Christmas...

I bought the Type S-100 kit and have not yet started it I suppose because the beast just intimidates me lol. Well, I'll have to come up with it's own display case too. And how to paint ?!? I may have to rent a paint sprayer from an auto body shop lol

Yes it does take up a fair bit of room. Paint wise.... it does offer a challenge. Just make sure you have enough of the main colour.

Ok, so I am blaming Tim Marlow and John race for these two purchases!

The papier mache, at Tim's suggestion, is for the bases for my 1/72 figures. The idea is that you mix it with a bit of paint and PVA glue, and sand if you want added texture, thus saving you having to paint the base coat of the 'ground' figures are standing on.

The Sculptamold is for my terrain bases and was recommended by Comrade Race.

ATB.

Ian if you've not already, you'd probably enjoy a 3-part Youtube series on building/detailing the 1/35 S100. The guy (Mr. G's Workbench) goes all out. Terrific inspiration !

Still haven't realized that I am retired and can have all the table time I want, but it's slowly sinking in. I decided to treat myself to a couple of retirement pressies to celebrate this milestone. I saw this on evilbay and couldn't resist,

Always liked this kit and for € 26 delivered, I don't feel guilty for breaking my 'No Kit' rule. About 60 kms away, in Schweinfurt, we have a shop that's called airbrush4you and they have some super stuff. I ordered a few things and had them in less than 48 hours delivered,

They carry the complete AV line with good prices too...........I've always wanted to have a second good quality AB along with my Aztek. I think this one might do the trick, but it's so nice, I'm afraid to hook it up and give it a try..............Maybe tomorrow....................And no, I'm not putting the blame on Tim Marlow's recommendation either.......................

I was the same when I got mine, didn't want to use for fear of ruining it! But very pleased when I did.

Got for very little from a charity shop. Will use it for some painting practise for an upcoming project, and some light relief from doing boats which take me a year. Also want to see how these clicky not gluey things work.
