Latest Acquisitions (2023)

Ok......so this was a late arrival from last year, having got caught up in the Royal Mail strikes following delivery from Poland.

Had to buy this after being subliminally forced to buy an Eduard 1/48 Würger by Alan! ;) :smiling5:

Can't help feeling that the A4+ sized envelope is slightly OTT..........

Not my kinda thing, but it looks good ;)
As for a "Cold War GB",What timespan... There's a lot of debate about when it ACTUALLY started or finished! ;)

Had this show up over the weekend, should be a fun little build!

I had another bout of stupidity losing my sense of reality over the weekend and a package showed up this morning. In it were these,

IMG_3454.JPG
Some needed paint, other rigging to try (later) and another marked down CSM figure. But, €23 was too little to qualify for my free postage (@€40), so I had to add something to the shopping cart to bring the value up. Once again, I got stupid and this landed in my cart,

I really think I need some kind of rehab immediately!!!...These WnW kitsets are like a disease with no cure!!! This is definitely the last one I will purchase......Period!!!...........On a nice note, this was also in the package and free of charge,

I buy this mag every month as it always has some good stuff in it. Unfortunately, I already have this issue, so I'll give it to my friend Thorsten or maybe Anton, if I see him......

Hopeless in Bamberg

... good point Tim...
.. HOWEVER, I also have about 30 boxes of "plastic"figures, and many resin ones...
.... but I'm not a "figure painter" either!! ;)
I’ve cracked it…..you’re an optimist…….

A cheap storage idea £1.25 for 3 at IKEA.

Ideal for the bench, storage for small parts inc lids. Not to big or small. Perfect for me

During WW2 the Italians were not cowards. The majority didn't want to fight, but were forced into it by Musso.
Once they sided with the Allies, they fought bravely to rid their country of the occupiers. There is some good reading to be had on their 'exploits'....If people only took the time to read them.

Three Italian manned human torpedoes entered Alexandria harbour in 1941 and disabled the British battleships H.M.S. Queen Elizabeth and H.M.S. Valiant for 6 and 8 months.
A large tanker, the Sagona had her stern blown off and the destroyer, H.M.S. Jervis, which was alongside the tanker, was severely damaged.

All done by 6 'Running away' Italians.......

Sorry for going off on a tangent, but someone had to......

I've always admired Italian naval architecture & the beauty of their early aircraft.

Nothing exactly exciting,but crucial nonetheless....

Paints for my aircraft builds and replacement Hydro Foams for my Wet Pallet,(such a good price I bought 2 lots... should last me years!!), :)

Going to give these a go, reviews from others here are mixed but I'll see how I get on.

These did not cause a hole in the wallet being a generous gift from an excellent friend. Many thanks kind sir!
Royal mail took almost 7 weeks to deliver these about 150 miles. Little wonder they are struggling.
These will be used when I make my Tamiya Panther kit,
