Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2023)

I agree Jim, and they put a younger Dave's picture on the box cover too! Nice outfit Dave and the hat is really cool!!!

You'll have to move it up your "To build" list Dave. It's already got people talking! ;)

unfortunately I have been unsuccessful in finding a Task kit - nothing in the internet
The most suitable kit, I think, is the Asuka Sherman III, which seems to be in stock in various places all over Europe. Not sure how easy it is getting one to the Channel Islands, though.

I expect it will be more work but more work = more fun. At least that's what I will try to convince myself!
Yeah, that’s what I keep telling myself too ;)

Postie dropped this off.......................

Sadly, I had to resort to retail prices - these KP models don't appear as auctions very often.

My local Evri courier dropped this off - an Ebay auction win - the box is toast, but the contents are sealed!
If the box has been good, this would have been at a collectors price, but I got this for just over £19 delivered - that is why you see empty kit boxes fetching good prices, to complete a collectors' model! - which is why I search Ebay for 'damaged box', or 'no box', 'started' - items which don't attract collectors
Dave
good luck with that one Dave, I did it back on the old forum

Jakko - thanks for the link.

I see from the box art that the asuka sherman has the extra armour on the side which is not present on the barv.

i have a copy of George bradford's plans and did toy with scratchbuilding the conversion but decided that would be too much 'fun'!
Peter

The armour plates are separate on the Asuka kits, so you can leave them off if you want. But let’s not forget that the Dragon one you have is suitable too, of course.

neighbour came round the other day and gave a cardboard box and in it was this;

He knows I build figures and saw this on eBay, how I don’t know. Can’t give it back saying it’s a grey import. So will push on with it.
A very elaborate porch?

Just got this delivered from John.

I'll be using this on my Russian aircraft for the antenna wires. I very done this before so it should be fun, or maybe an absolute disaster.20231117_104424.jpg

A couple of little birthday presents to myself.
I have the Italeri ambulance jeep in the stash and a great idea for a dio but the stretchers are rubbish and no figures. I was expecting to scratch them myself but these will do the trick.
And the buckles are for the Fusiliers because I've run out of rifle/musket sling swivels...
Got the freedom pass and the state pension now OMG!Gecko 1-35 Allied Casualties.jpgIMG_20231109_110903187.jpg

Congratulations Mr. Merryweather!!! And a Happy Birthday to you too, Neil!!! Looks like you'll have a little more bench time now youngster, unless the better half has one of those 'job' jars for you to dive into...

Prost

Ebay auction win ( via postie )
dapol fighter pilot.jpg
£10.50 delivered! I've been promised a Dapol ' Evening Star ', from a model railway buff - in return for a few lengths of printed OO gauge display track - which will close my locomotive acquisitions nicely!
