So some basic essentials have arrived in the last couple of days......I don't need that much glue but getting it from my local hobby shop can tricky sometimes, so I thought I'd stock up.
Tamiya airbrush cleaner 250ml £5
Tamiya extra thin 40ml £3....

Ian,

I don't think we can get the cleaner her in the UK otherwise I would have gone down that route....at least I couldn't find it last time I looked...it always has to come from somewhere in Europe and I'm worried about what will happen when it gets to customs given the nature of the contents but I might give it a whirl next time.

Hi Andrew
It is available from Amazon. It is obviously sourced abroad, but being Amazon should be priced at what you see.

Just saw that on there as well Tim .
Really ought to try it out .
They also do half litres of MEK for the same price. That’s Mekpak to those with long memories. Used with a fine nylon brush it’s as good or better than TET, especially on plastic card and suchlike….used to be sold by Slaters in small bottles…...and unless you leave the lid off that much will last forever. Not as hot as Butanone, which can be used on ABS as well as styrene….

Have also seen it on eBay too, just a bit wary in case the nature of the contents cause an issue. but will give it a whirl!

Go on John!!

The cleaner is 5.13p per ml incl. P&P (here - used them before numerous times), the glue was 11.25p

At that price difference it's well worth trying. Couldn't open that link by the way Andrew.

That makes no sense at all it is exactly the same as The Extra thin Maybe John can get some in if you ask him. He would sell it as quick as he could put in the shop.

Probably the same reason we can’t easily get Tamiya filler Ian….

In addition, Will try my best to finish one meister, but holding my mum's hand in hospital sadly has priority

Sphere Products Transit Case Box C , external dimensions 34cm on all sides and 30cm internal dimensions, with a clear acrylic front, so the figures/busts have a view of where they are going :smiling5: :smiling5: , steel handle, and the bottom slides out, so easy to add and remove things. . Its quite heavy, so should keep everything safe, think I will stain it.Transit case.jpg

Put this in the wrong forum
