Some small bits...
I'm always using Micro-Sol, so will try out Mr Mark Softer as I think it's a bit stronger?

Also got some Abt.502 oil paints, but the middle one is actually an acrylic(!) didn't know they had an acrylic range so will have to look better next time. Cheers

So some more essentials.....

Having bent my 0.2mm needle slightly, I needed a new one and so I thought I might as well get two given how fragile they are....saves on a second lot of P&P when the inevitable happens!

The white thing in the bag is actually a resin replacement to correct an error in the Airfix Sea Fury kit I recently acquired, which apparently leads to a misshapen nose if you're not careful, not to mention some incorrect detail.

It's not something I would normally worry about but I was aware of the issue after a couple of people at shows put me onto the issue, one of whom used this very part. As I got the kit so cheap I thought why not get the AM correction! In case you're interested the part is made by Aerocraft Models, Product Code ACM48003.

The AM part in situ, with a wash to highlight the detail....

First things I’ve bought for ages….

New brushes……these are the best there are for painting figures, at least, in my opinion. Here’s why…

Look at those tips…..needle sharp. They have great spring and snap as well. As to longevity, here are these two alongside an old one (at the bottom) of three and a half years old.

The sharp point has worn off, but the old brush is still more than useable for anything but the finest work. This brush has done at least a thousand painting sessions. It is over three and a half years old.
They are different sizes just in case you are wondering…... Top is a size two, middle is a size O, and the old one is a size 1. I would have bought two new size 1 brushes, because they are the best compromise for my figure work, but they seem to be out of stock everywhere….

Brilliant brushes. I have a 1 and 2/0. Far better than my painting level deserves 😂

Almost nothing you can’t do with a size 1 from these guys is there Andy…..I use good size 1s for eyeballs on the little blokes…funnily enough, got a size OO and don’t get on with it. Doesn’t hold enough paint….

Some more ancillary bits and bobs from our very own SMS, thanx...
Some Tamiya masking sheets with grids.
More pipettes
Some small flexi files.
Up to now I have been using the small individual paint palette tins, so thought I'd get a larger one for mixing etc.

This arrived yesterday

I do like a Coastal Command scheme 😊.

I saw one of these for sale at Telford last weekend which I thought about getting then completely forgot about it until I had gotten home 😂
Fortunately I saw one on eBay though which turned out cheaper than the one I had originally seen 😊

Geoff.

Ok chaps.....

So normal service has been resumed in the past 10 days or so with a range of arrivals, some free, most not and one even in keeping with my last completed build.

ACW as usual

So the son of someone at our club got married recently and had some table settings for which these were the bases. He gave one to me and our club secretary to base models on. I'm not sure what tree it's from but it's very light and almost 'furry'...a bit like balsa wood.

Got put onto these by our very own @geoffers.....lost count of how many times I've wanted something like these...not that expensive and should last me a life time...

Reinforcements for my German artillery part....2nd hand on Fleabay for a good price

This fills a missing gap in my Japanese wingy stash....

One can never have too many Tiffies.....as you may recall, I have built this boxing once already and have another four in the stash to do a cab-rank rocket flight but this popped up on Fleabay for a good price and so I will do this as the bomber option.

Won this in a Facebook auction for temporary bases for my 1/72 wingy things. Whilst the kit is themed for the Far East/Pacific, PSPs were also used in NWE and I reckon the base is big enough to cut in half and still be big enough for one plane on each half.

Finally...in keeping with my last built....I saw this at the Imperial War Museum Churchill War Rooms site (pics to follow) and had to get it...got 10% off with my membership.

Special thanks to Tim Marlow as he mentioned the t-shirt version previously by this was cheaper, better quality (as Tim mentioned the material was a bit thin), more useful and will last much longer!

Coincidence Andrew :) Saw your post with the circle masks and thought "Good idea" and then checked emails and I had one from Premium Hobbies about the masking circles. So ordered a set of all their sizes.
