Yes the camo is all wrong, but I got a pic of a group stood from about that time, and they were all in overalls and a UN beret.
Those figures helmets don't have to go on, so I'm hoping I can bash berets for them.
And painting the overalls in the colour of the guys in the pic from that time , hopefully that will work.
Hornet heads from Historex.

Another visit to jadlam I walked past the reduced bin and this jumped out into my hands
Yep, we can see the crushed box as you clutched it to your busom.....

I know now why it is cheaper to buy on line. I am fortunate enough to have a local model shop that I like to support. However on the last 3 occasions that I have visited it to buy some paint etc I have ended up walking out with yet another model. Todays purchase from the bargain bin this gorgeous Revell 1/32 Spitfire Mk.1Xc. Box has never been opened. Note to self. When visiting model shop leave bank card at home.

Or take the wife.... that way you will never get in the door...

My brother dropped by to give me these:

As he recently bought a 3D resin printer, I asked him to print some of Rob Lockie’s M3/M4 idler wheels for me, since the idlers in plastic kits often don’t have the undercut under the rim. “How many do you want?” he asked, so I said six or eight, as I have at least two kits I can use them on already, plus some for future use. No sooner said than done :)

New reference material arrived today. :smiling:
Very nice. The Weasel book looks interesting as well as the FUCHS. I’ve attempted to build one in 1/72 scale had some difficulty because of my Arthritis with the small parts I might try again some day.

Incidentally, scans of the real TM 9-772, Cargo Carriers M29 and M29C, can be found online. I have one (the edition of 4 August 1945), and apparently there’s also a different one floating about, but both have some blank pages towards the end. Still, it’s a very useful reference when building models of these vehicles.

I guess a Revell model? I still have an old Revell Biber bridge layer here, so the booklet will probably be put to use soon.

Cool, you’re going to be building vehicles from my back yard :)

Does the set include an extra sheet with the name WOLF OF BADENOCH on it, for the Sherman V? I ask because Johan Lexell, the man behind Star Decals, added that for reprints of the 1:35 scale version after I pointed out the omission to him some years ago (and sent me a complimentary copy when I ordered another set of decals entirely from him). BTW, for that Sherman, the registration number that’s only partially legible should only go on the right-hand side, not on both, and probably only if you’re building the model as a wreck rather than when it was actually in use.
