Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2026)

Also very good ship cradle for 1/700 & 1/350. Revolves on the base and tilts.
Cool, where did you get that from? I have my Airfix German E-Boat to build and something like that would be great for it.
Its juts under 50cm long so would need to be bit smaller than that....

Hi

Do a search for 'sen model studio", in the menu look for 3D printed parts.

Beware I had a customs charge

Hope this helps

Got myself a small ship/boat holder/stand, as I have my new Airfix German Eboat to build in the not to distant future, and I don't really have a good stand, so I thought why not? It's a cheap and chearful one off Amazon, I thought is was coming from Amazon in the UK, but it did appear to come directly form China, looks like its 3D printed, and the adjustable butterfly type bolts/nuts look a bit small and flimsy, but I can always drill bigger holes and use larger ones if they give out.
Has a fair bit of adjustability, for space between each stand, and the width of the two end supports and the angle they can be tilted, so it should do the job. Obviously it would not be suitable for larger boats/ships.
Comes with thin rubber strip which you cut to size and stick on yourself....

OK chaps....so finally back in the saddle! Having only got over a very nasty cold after 7 weeks, 10 days later I came down with another one - albeit not so bad but still lost another 10 days.

Some very nice hauls since I last checked in.

These are new and not so new arrivals I've not previously shared.

Picked this up this morning. Had been out for a haircut and walked home past the local model shop, which whilst they do some kits, mainly specialises in RC planes and cars. Saw this on the shelf and thought why not?!?! Helps a good cause and got it for a reasonable price. All the reviews are pretty positive...even if it is open to question whether or not is saw service.....

This is actually a pre-Christmas purchase using some birthday money but had forgotten to share it before. Picked it up for a good, if not great price....and whilst I have some P-51s in the stash, another one doesn't hurt......as long as you have more Spitfires and Typhoons in the stash...which I do....I am a Brit after all!!
:D

So this is probably my own holy grail kit - Eduard's reboxing of the good Hasegawa kit with some unique upgrades.

I have been looking for this on and off for two years but it's long out of production and second hand kits go for more than I'm willing to pay the kit on its own. Then a few weeks ago this popped on Fleabay, with some extras thrown in. You're probably looking at c. £60 in normal circumstances for the lot but I managed to pick this up for just under £40.

A nice haul Andrew, the Typhoons a cracking bargain.
Not sure if you know but Hobby 2000 are rereleasing the Hasegawa 1/48 Typhoon but the earlier car door type with cartograph decals and paint masks soon 😊

Geoff.

Thanks Geoff....but what are you trying to do to me!?!? 😒😂🤣 How am I supposed to ignore that news....I really am running out of space for new kits!!!

Ok chaps, so the first show of the year for our club, at the Shuttleworth Museum here in the UK.

Picked this up, as something a bit different for me. Two RAF and two Royal Navy options....one of which has a full stencil set of what must be over 200 decals.....
:'(
:'(

I'm not a huge jet fan and the more modern they get, the less I like them but there is something about the Phantom!

This a rebox of a Fujimi kit and whilst the Fine Molds ones have the edge now, this has Cartograph decals and a mask included...price was on the good side if not the absolute best but I like the seller and so wanted to support them.

Cant beat a Toom..... From when aircraft were lumpy and funny shaped and interesting and not clones of each other like today

Ahhh a good ol Phantom, proof that if you strapped big enough engines to it you could get a brick to fly, looking forward to seeing this built, have you decided on which scheme your doing yet ?

Not sure yet. There are four markings for an RN one as per the box art, an RAF one that is all black and then a third with both RAF and RN options. The one with two options, does not use the stencil set for some reason....which given that there must be 200+ would seem to be the one to avoid!! But then I'm a sucker for punishment and I like the box art scheme a lot!
