Indeed , the kits even more retro than the box art !
A couple of tamiya kits joined the stash today ..... fresh from amazon.
A Jagdpanzer Marder 1 and a M4A3E8 Sherman easy eight.
Had a quick look insidethe boxes and they look ok. Not too many intrecate parts by the look of it but I'll get a better ideaonce Igive it a proper going over with the instructions by my side.
It wasjust a quick glimpseso far as I'vejust arrived back home from up north. Maybe a picture or two to add later if there is any interest.

Some recent arrivals.
I found them as a job lot on eBay going for a very good price
The box of the Avenger is a bit worn but the kit is as new. It’s a re-tool of the Accurate Miniature's kit.
I’ll probably sell on the Hellcat, it looks a lovely, detailed kit but is a bit large for me.
I also used up a book tocken I’d been given for Christmas to get this.

Great haul geoff ! The avenger is a lovely kit and if the 1/72 Arma stuff is anything to go by the 1/48 will be superbSome recent arrivals.

Sorry completely forgot to reply!! Good to hear it's meant to be a good kit, although it will be while before I get to it!
And since the post, someone on here has offered me the same kit from his stash, for a very reasonable price!!

I managed to pick that book up in a raffle at a show. I found it very moving in so many ways and thoroughly recommend it. It does spend a lot of time on the background to the raid going back two or three years but in my opinion is all the better for it.
If you look the Al Murray and James Holland WWII podcast, 'We have ways of making you talk', they have Roland White on a couple of times and I think one is about this raid.
Oh, and the kits aren't too shabby either!!

1 x jar of Tamiya flat white XF2. Bit of research showed that some Vietnam armoured M133's (my current build) had a white interior, and I noticed that I'm almost out in my paint stash, so off to the local model shop.... and unusually for me, I just came out with the one tin of paint!
