This haul is my latest addition to my ever increasing stash, the river embankment came in the post today courtesy of some left over Xmas pennies courtesy of my old man(thanks Dad) and the rest are Xmas pressies
If you were overcharged at $5, it must be a really bad kit... Which store in Calgary did you buy them from?\ said:I picked up 2 new ones today (and pretty sure the guy at the till over-charged me), but since my camera is not feeling well I have no pics. For the record though, they are the "Revell" Type IIB U-boat (144 scale) and a Ju-87 by Zvezda, also in 144 scale.
I thought the minicraft Ju-88 was crap but wow, this one is even worse! And it's made out of a shiny plastic, which even after cleaned with warm soapy water, still feels slick. I just know I am going to have paint adherence issues with it, but at 5$ , I couldn't really pass it up... I won't quit on it, yet.
Ah, I know exactly who you mean...\ said:Chinook hobby west.Normally they're pretty good and I have no problems, only when that one older guy is manning the till... (may be close to retirement)

Actually if you haven't been there lately, it's probably worth checking out. They have recently overhauled the shop and have added a new selection of kits. And they have made more of an attempt at organizing them too, so you don't have to wander all over the shop looking for "that one..."Ah, I know exactly who you mean...I rarely go in Chinook these days, they have a pretty meagre selection of kits but they do still have a good range of paints and tools
Well Dave, now that I have sold both kidneys, a lung and my liver and bought one I bet that Airfix pop one out as a surprise in the run of the year!\ said:Nice one Ian.I'd love a Gannet
