A tip: Before applying the decals, make sure you have a good coat of gloss varnish to put them on. I didn't do that well enough with one of my planes and got silvering, due to minute air pockets on the surface of anything other than a very smooth one. You can re-varnish after adding decals, using a mat or semi-mat varnish.\ said:Well, for my first foray into aircraft. I've bought this for £7.00View attachment 79220
Fingers crossed I haven't bitten off more than I can chew!

That's a lovely kit Patrick, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. And I'll second Steve's tips\ said:Well, for my first foray into aircraft. I've bought this for £7.00View attachment 79220

It won't, we all warned you about the slippery slope\ said:Ha-ha it's definitely started! Got this for a tenner today!View attachment 79228
Where will it end?![]()
It looks incredible in the box, I'd say it's probably one of the best looking kits I've seen in 1/72 the level of detail is enough for me without any PE or resin. If Airfix had thought of bringing out a new tool then I might have considered one but at the price I paid for both it was a no brainer. The Corsair is so far beyond the Fujimi, Heller and Hasegawa kits I have as well. (anybody want a Fujimi Corsair, it really is a dog)\ said:I've built the tamiya MKII mozzy and if yours is as good as that one it's a fine kit , I did have a few probs with mine but it's nothing I couldn't handle and folks on here said it must have been a one off so enjoy![]()
If it's anything like the 1/48 mozzy it will be great for detail , airfix have or are going to release 1/48 mozzy in new tool so I'd like to try that one and compare it to the tamiya one\ said:It looks incredible in the box, I'd say it's probably one of the best looking kits I've seen in 1/72 the level of detail is enough for me without any PE or resin.
