Allyne/Steve - thanks for the heads-up. I may possibly buy both and try a bit of a kit bash - 21st Century exterior with a Revell/aftermarket interior? Or rescribe the Revell kit. I'm really surprised that this particular variant isn't more numerous in this scale.

Hi Tony - not seen this piece before - I'm guessing photo etch tool/possibly hinge making aid but I'm not familiar with this particular brand.

Hi all, i'm back from my lads weekend. Got back yesterday and today straight to the model shop, and this is what i got.

Quad Gun Tractor and 25PDR. Field Gun, because of the one we seen at Rufford Abbey "On The Home Front". Italeri Commando Jeep, had a quick look in the box and it looks a very nice model. Scenic Water, never used this so it'll be a first and i think it's time i did a wet dio too. And a tin of blue Humbrol so i can get the Subaru Impreza finished.

Have fun, John

I could of grabbed loads more that I have been looking for, but when I saw the TSR-2 I just had to get it while I had the chance. Having missed so many on e-bay I would of been daft not to buy it!

I guess I will have to go back another day for the ones that got left on the shelf!!!

Nice list there Andy, will you be keeping us up dated with the project?

Just purchased this as a change from my more usual modelling subjects.

WARP Eagle

Anyone that remembers Space 1999 will know the Eagle space craft used in the series. Recently I've seen reruns of the original TV series and I have to say that it really hasn't aged that well, but as a kid I always thought the Eagle was cool.

When I get round to the build I'll post the progress if it's of interest.

Cheers

Paul

ooh , how much paul, been after one of those, had a proper one when i was a kid

Hi Andrew

It was £58 off Ebay, a bit expensive but it is a multi-media kit - resin and metal.

By some of the reviews I've read it seems it can be a bit of a challenge to put together but the detail is good.

Cheers

I loved space 1999 when i was a kid i used to have all the metall eagles that they had brought out then, back in school my mate dave and i made moon base alpha to put them in.

Hi Scott, I think I had the original Dinky 'Transporter' Eagle when I was a kid. I say, 'I think' because it may have been an Airfix model, I can't quite remember. I know I won a metal UFO interceptor in a competition I entered with the comic 2000AD. Trouble is the prize didn't turn up for 3 years and by then I'd moved on to music and girls!!! It was funny though, I remember it came with a letter written by 'Tharg' the fictional alien editor of the mag! I wish I'd kept it might have been worth a bob or 2!

If I really enjoy this build (and I think I will!) I may build a bit of a set to go with it, maybe a Moon Base Alpha hanger or Transporter lift.

Cheers Paul
