While wait for the Simon GB to start I figured I would try to get this done. Today I got the interior ready for primer and paint.

Ian. That busy interior is to keep your eyes off all those Rivets lol

Andrew. Thanks well I hope the rest of the build goes this smooth. I’m worried about the camo paint. I never painted a camo scheme before

Silly Putty works extremely well for masking your cammo on these birds. It is usually available at most Dollar stores or perhaps Walmart.......comes in a little plastic egg holder. Hope this helps. Rick H.

John. I maybe over thinking it but still a little nervous about it.

Rick. Thanks I’ve heard of people doing that I played with Silly Putty when I was a kid. I will be hand painting the camo Jakko told some one to pencil the pattern on the bird then hand paint it.

Hi Lee
Off to a good start. Is Monogram still producing kits or it it rather old? When you see the results people like Ron and Pete get with brush painting I think Jakko's idea is pretty sound - might be worth a go.

Jim. Thanks I love to brush painting and done lots of bottom and side camo on aircraft’s but not the top portion. I’m going to try it. If your asking about this kit it a 1968 version.

Before quitting last night I got a few more things done. I added the Aftermarket tail fins with positionable flaps I also cut out those hideous molded in exhaust for the new Aftermarket one. Going and let the primer cure a little more before I paint the interior. 176BF7DA-9E69-4523-8600-034459AD1C01.jpeg4F6181D5-45F8-4BF4-8110-C0BCEBBD3E43.jpeg5A93BA5C-ACBA-486D-A73F-736FE3F3DC45.jpeg02D7AB97-2952-47EC-9B60-2597D3575D23.jpeg973121F7-6FE0-4D54-BEF3-522BF0CE1ED9.jpeg876D1720-BF62-49F2-84AB-5FDADF1A9428.jpeg2D209794-C858-4886-92A0-A9F5976895A7.jpeg

I’m sorry to say but I’m scrubbing this build. It looks so out of scale to me and really doesn’t satisfy me to look like a Spitfire. Thanks for the complements and likes

I was looking through my old Aircraft builds the other day and came across this build. Looks like I got very frustrated with it. I compared it to some other Monogram Planes from this era and I now think I was wrong it looks like it’s in scale so I decided to try it again. Here’s some updates I done this morning
