Hi Lee, takes me back to my childhood.......I was seven years old when I got my first pet "Chick"...he was just a "Pip Squeak" when I got him so that was his name. Grew up to be one fine big old white Rooster.

Hi Lee
First chick. The first of many. Are you raising them as layers or for meat?
Jim

John. Yes I didn’t give up on them just takes time.

Rick. Thanks for stopping by Glad I could take you back to your childhood.

Tim. Thanks for stopping by. Yes I’m feeling much better my breathing is improving.

Jim. I raise these as layers too much work to butcher them to me anyway. Glad you stopped by.

Andrew. Yes it’s very beautiful here and quiet. God has blessed me in so many ways. The one chick is doing well I can call that success I never had much luck hatching. I always listen to the “Old Timers” way of hatching most was way off the Mark so I did it my way and looks like it’s working.

Woke up very early this morning to fine that 2 more chicks has hatched. There’s one more that’s about ready. I’ll give the others a couple more days before discarding them. 357160D8-184A-414B-87B9-737100E1E77D.jpeg

My daughter raised chicks a while ago. The cockerels she raised for meat and the rest as layers. She works as a zoo keeper on the bird section so she has access to incubators etc.
So nice to have someone count their blessings and be thankful. Too many fill their lives with negativity.

Jim. Thanks I usually give the Roosters away. That’s neat your Daughter works at a Zoo she’s probably good at what she does. Yes there’s so much bitterness in this world life could be so much worse. People don’t have respect for human life anymore and so full of self. I’m hoping one day soon I can get back to building Millitary Models but that’s not my priority now.

Looks nice with the dusting of snow. Have often considered having chickens but the couple next door have them so we get fresh eggs with out the 'hassle'.
Young roosters are a good eat. A bit of a specialty over here.

Glad to hear you're feeling better Lee, you certainly have a lot to be thankful for & you appreciate it too, seeing new life into the world is something special.
