Moved things forward a little bit on this one. I used a couple of bits of runner to try and push out the edges of the panel in front of the cockpit so it fits a bit better....

Then got the lower wing fitted...

After that was nicely cemented I got the top wing halves in place. Bit of remedial work to do before adding anything else....

Well Guys, apologies again for the lack of updates. I have a number of excuses prepared, ranging from going back to work for a couple of days a week through the summer, planning a Euro road-trip and my poor old Mum falling over and breaking her arm.

I have been making a bit of progress however:

Got the bulk of construction done and then went through a few rounds of Mr Surfacer 500 to clean up various areas......

Finally ready for paint.....

All primed up......

And finally on Monday while the insulation in my shed did a lovely job of keeping it cool, I got a coat of Medium Sea Grey on the underside.......

Needless to say I will not be making the deadline this Sunday, but all being well I might get it masked and start painting the top side in the next week.

Thanks as always for looking in.

Not too far to go Nick 👍

Better to take your time and get it right than rush it and mess it up.

Geoff.

Looking good now, really nice clean demarcation on the camo there.

Thanks Gents.

I have managed to move this along a bit further. I got the leading edges painted in yellow and the canopy framing in silver as called out by the painting guide provided in the Airfix instructions.......

A little later, I made a tentative start on the decals....

Hmmm.... that yellow on the decals has made it look like I should have put a few more coats of paint on the leading edges. Anyway that's how she sits now and I'm heading up t'North for the next few days to visit daughter and family so there will not be any more progress before the weekend. However, I do hope I will be able to find the time to have a more general catch-up on the forum.

Thanks for looking in as always.

Nick.
