Sir Henry Rider Haggard, a british author around the turn of the century wrote some classic adventure novels, one called 'She', where an African tribe occupying a lost city had a white queen referred to as She Who Must Be Obeyed.

I seem to remember that SWMBO was more of a title than a name and she was actually called Ayesha.

And Muslim men are brave...they can have four of those. :smiling6:

Cheers,
Richard

and here was me thinking SWHMO referred to Matron and her goons...

I have to say I've learnt a lot of new words and acronyms since I joined this forum and started this hobby in January and did have to google SWMBO. I wrongly assumed it would be a new modelling term for me to learn like Wash, Dry Brushing etc.

Not sure I've mentioned this one to me wife yet though.

And they can smell plastic miles away.

Cheers,
Richard

Maybe he read the novel that Paul has. Used to like Rumpole.
I really recall the phrase from TV showings of the pulp film She with Ursula Andress when I was a kid. I didn’t read Rumpole or Haggard until later. I remember almost nothing from all three, by the way :tongue-out3:

Well I was only a year old when she came out of the sea in Dr No. in fact, before I looked this up to confirm my memory I thought “She” was Raquel Welch…….must have got that one and “One million years BC” mixed up…..

Never saw that Movie, when I was a teen we used to call her Ursula Undress......for obvious reasons. :tongue-out:

I think that was pretty much universal across the English speaking world Rick……
