i used tamya xf72 on my sop as the wings were canvas but first used beige for the rib detailing on the wings then went mad from there lol

Ian , the pc 10 colour is a very variable thing ,reportedly going from brown to khaki to olive green and all shades in between! There isnt a definitive colour ,it could have been almost anything in this range. If youre still not sure about the brown shade , i used Games Workshop citadel miniatures paints on my sopwith triplane, and i was quite happy with my version of pc10 and doped linen . I used Catachan green for the pc10 and Rotting flesh for the doped linen. Hope this helps , cheers tony

Looks like a task that tests the old peepers!

Doing a great job Ian and you seem to be flying through this kit. You must be enjoying it it seems from the outside that you are.

All the best

Hi Paul thanks for the comment. Yes iam enjoying this kit its very small and a little challenging but fun, and i will get the better of the rigging( there is quite a lot of it )

Looking good Ian. The Dh2 is certainly one of those odd planes graced with unusual looks - which of course means I like it. Nice job.

Dam that's good work. Its when you get to picture four where you are holding it, the old jaw really hits the floor! Dude that thing is tiny.

Great stuff there Ian

Ian M

What size EZ Line did you use? I see it comes in two different diameters.

Tony

Brilliant work ian , rigging in this scale is very tricky. Keep it up , cant wait to see the booms go on , cheers tony

Thanks Ian M and Tony I'm quite pleased with how its going so far , And Tonybv9 I used the fine ( red dot ) E Z Line black in colour

That rigging is hugely impressive Ian! How you managed it I'll never know - your eyes & patience are clearly greater than mine!

Weirdly enough, when I type ' riggi ' on the android keypad, the 1st word it suggested was ' frigging '! Lucky I spotted that ;) Although that's probably a word that's escaped your lips whilst making this model!

Cheers

Now on order. Thanks for the tip. I was unsure what to use for my two, but that seems a good solution. Did you stretch it slightly and secure with a dot of CA?

Also useful for aircraft antenna wires that won't snap or break off the fixing points, apparently.

Tony

you`re mad! but honest to goodness thats incredible Ian first rate rigging.micro surgeon is calling you.lol

Thanks Ole being mad does help. And TonyBv9 Yes just a drop of CA attach one end then when dry i fed it over the top of the spar, BUT DONT pull it too tight just tight enough to keep the line straight otherwise it will pull the spar over to one side hope this helps and good luck with your rigging

This looks great Ian. I've just been reading the rigging diagram for my build (with dread) But looking at yours, I'm wondering how will the top wing fit with your rigging going over the struts ? Are you just going to drill bigger holes in the wings ?
