Pauls Suzuki Katana...... Tamiya GB

What Jim said, I really feel I should try one some day - and I've never even ridden a motorbike (and not about to start now). They do make terrific models. Good choice.

Following along Paul. Good luck with all that silver plastic - it always seems to make clean-up difficult..... I can never tell if I've got the seams sorted until there's some paint on it...

A very nice choice. I'm not a biker myself but there's something about a build of one of these large scale bike kits that's fascinating to watch. The detail in them in usually excellent.

I'm currently painting stuff..... My way of doing bikes is to get everything painted, then assemble just like the real thing

Bit of history for those not into bikes

The Katana was designed by a German team and got a bit of a lacklustre review in the press cos they thought it was a bit too revolutionary and wouldn't last long........ It was in production for 25 years lol lol......... 1981 to 2006......although a lot of it was only available in Japan where it was a cult bike

Only really came in one colour scheme..... Silver with a weird two tone grey seat........ And a limited edition series of red/silver or blue/silver like the kit I'm doing........ But I'm planning on changing that a little to how I would have liked one

This the standard bike.... Silver with black two-into two exhausts

Mine is going to be red over silver with silver mudguard and red tail body work, with a black seat

Look forward to seeing how you tackle this having never seen a civilian motorbike kit build.
Kit details look good from here 👍
