Thanks John, still got some tinkering with the hoses.Very nice Bob, but in regard to the hose out of the window perhaps take it straight though the wall just above work top level and then out, or through the back wall into the garage and then out through the brick wall .
This might be of help to reduce the two hoses into one. Plenty of outside fittings for covers to the pipe thro the wall . Every good StuG home should have one.
Hi Pete, the booths come with those, will see if they will fit?My spraybooth came with a flattened nozzle for the exhaust hose, so the window only needs to be opened an inch or two.
Pete
Thanks Jim!Looking good Bob. A wonderful bolt hole for the hobby.
Mine is the same Peter. The window only has to open a little.

Agree ref smooth pipe and fittings, they are the most efficient if you can use them, especially if the junctions are “swept” in the direction of flow. However, air velocity will only be seriously impacted if the outlet tubing is of a markedly smaller diameter than the outlet from the spray booth. These are probably larger, so slowing down the air velocity and making them quieter in use.As convenient as that flexi stuff is it does effect the flow AND traps fluff and dust (and dry paint). The most efficient is to use smooth pipe and fittings and only use the shortest possible runs of the flexi tube stuff.
I knew I had forgotten sumfinkThat’s what the spray booth filters are there for :tongue-out3:
Will have to see John, not goy much room to fit a wall vent, small area and there's a lot of cables behind, could vent either side into the garage spaceThe use of smooth bore fittings are great if you can use them. I had 4 and 6 inch in my workshop from the saw ,sanding machine and planers etc .At home in the cave I just went straight through the the wall . Bob does have the problem of having to vent through the window , not having a wall vent .
Perhaps in time when he's fully settled he might use smooth bore pipe and go through the wall , think if we have a cold winter it might prove to be needed .
You can get flat channel vents. Pretty space saving. Will have to see John, not goy much room to fit a wall vent, small area and there's a lot of cables behind, could vent either side into the garage space
