I don't think I've ever made a Biplane. If I did, it will be at least 50 odd yrs. ago!
So, to break my duck, and seeing as there isn't any biplanes on the go at the minute, here is a build of this aircraft.

Awful kit. No detail, flash, pin marks etc. everywhere. What have I done!?

Still, who wants to make a kit that just falls together, where's the challenge in that?

Here's the start of the build. Nothing in the cockpit, except an awful pilot moulded to an awful seat. However, as I have a plan for the finished model, I don't need him. I made a stand alone seat and shoved that in instead....

With the exception of the tail, etc., the first coat applied, so I can get a feel of what colour goes where. Vallejo Model Air painted on with a chisel headed brush.

Thanks boys, but I think the kit looks, well - Naff! When first coating with a brush, the painting always looks naff too!......Come to think of it, the second won't be much better!

Look at this, nearly finished, 1:72 builds can be great......

Should have got a fairey swordfish. I have one by Revell and its a nice kit. Still, things usually turn out better in the end

I didn't really want the Swordfish. Although this is a rough kit, I like a challenge - Been close to binning it in the early stages, but I'm slowly whupping it into some kind of shape.

Incidentally, the two white lines on the top wing were done freehand, undiluted, in one swipe. ( I brush paint only, so luckily I don't need to use any masking tape)
With my trusty chisel headed brush and a good swig of beer to steady my mitt - I got away with it - just!

Under carriage on and tidied the paintwork a bit more.

Next up, the shiny stuff and then the decals....
