Hi m1ks, i picked up the Cessna Skymaster for just £10.00 at a model show, i virtualy bit the blokes hand off, its a cracking kit and one im very much looking forward to making, i do believe Testors have re-issued it, im sure ive read that somewhere? Good plan though to show ya Mrs that having a stash is perfectly normal :-)

Graham, great idea to have a data base on the comp, it is very easy to forget just what you have. That Honda 750 1/6th scale was a bargin from the nationals at Telford last year, £49.99. I do like a bargin :-)

Graham - I'm also thinking of doing an inventory of what kits I have too! I think this could come in useful when it comes to planning dioramas.

I really do want to start reducing that amount of kits I have! I do have plans (or had plans) for everyone of em (honest)!!!

I've got a really grand scheme for a massive dio featuring the BR 52 Loco + rolling stock, 2 panthers, 2 panzer IVs, a panzer III, Opel Blitz, 2cm Flak 38, 88mm Flak 37 and about 50 figures that would reduce the pile significantly! But this may take 10 years to complete and I've got to build an extension to house it!

Like I said, I had a plan when I bought everyone of these kits, the real problem is finding the time.

John - I will be making purchases from the shop when necessary - probably not kits for a little while though! However glue, materials, paint etc - I'm there.

Cheers

Paul

OK then you asked for it, here is a small cross section of my current stash, Theres about 50+ kits ,but it looks less cause im pretty good at stacking them in the bottom of my cabinets (im pretty nifty at tetris too!!) Just for good measure theres a couple of (shaky!) shots of the top halves of the cabinets too where i keep my completed models safe from dust (and dusters!!) Tony

Very nice indeed Tony, some real crackers amoungst that lot mate. Looks like you will have to be extending into the room next door soon lol. Years of careful stashing has clearly gone into this little collection, all the best buddy, Martin :-)

I'm getting a stash together. I now have three on order. Call it a disaster recovery program.

Pics of my current model stash.

The Hawker Hurricane and Focke Wulfe 190 are currently in progress, (Hurricanes a bit of a test bed of ideas, posing panels and cutting, also a bit of a retro trip, this is one I made when I were a lad, yes it really is that old, no decals with it so am looking for a set of 1:72, the FW is a built from the box, plan was to build with my wee boy but he got bored after the gluing and priming when I explained it had to dry before we could do the rest of the paint and the 'stickers' :) he is only 5 so......

I'm currently thinking the RG250 Gamma next, (that's to be a pressie for a friend, First bike he had).

FW almost finished, will stick on a seperate thread when finalised.

Mmmm i noticed the fetish for the 109 too......is there a cure lol. I can see why you like em though mate, classic lines to them, i WILL make one, one of these days :-)

You need FWA msm, (Focke Wulfes anonymous), the first step is admitting you have a problem and letting go, (i'll take the Tamiya one please) :grinball2:

The RC166 is a new acquisition Graham, i've been after one for a decent price since I first saw the kit released then decided, stuff it and got the cheapest I could find on ebay, not cheap but a beautiful kit, theres a wealth of hop up bits too, none of which i'll be getting, too expensive. I have a thing about Iconic bikes and bikes that have a meaning for me. The Honda was the first true foray into racing for a Japanese manufacturer, ery brave thing and an amazingly engineered machine, I'd like to add a real 916 to the collection at some point too but guess i'd have to sell a couple of mine to make money and room, the problem being I like the ones I have, what I need is to win some money and get a big garage. :)

If you like bikes and have Sky TV look out for a series called Twist the throttle, each series focuses on a manufacturer, the big four from Japan + BMW, Bimota, Ducati, MV Agusta, very good they were.

M1ks! If you ever want to get shot of that vincet to make room for some thing..... :bounce::grinball2::postman:

More than a fetish, thats only the plastic kits. There is a couple of balsa ones about 1/18th scale and then there is a 26" and 40" wingspan plans I have. These I hope to start next year building. Tony

Well you build them and i'll provide the warheads lmao. Yes i did have a mis-spent youth :)
