Been home a couple of weeks, now - progress is very very slow. No real problem with the mechanical handling/changing of the Stoma gear. The major factor is the tiredness, and weakness. I have to do everything in easy steps, taking frequent breathers. I have limited concentration span, I find myself nodding off watching tv! At first I was sleeping nearly 20 hrs a day, but it's now down to about 15 hours! I can stand up without my stick, but need it fo walk around in the flat. It's gradually improving, but small sreps at a time

Sleep is essential for recovery Dave, you'll get there when your system is in better shape 👍 take care, cheers

Listen to your body Dave. Don't fight it. For the time being if you need lots of sleep then go for it. If you feel tired then have a rest
It's gradually improving, but small sreps at a time
The most important thing is - YOU'RE IMPROVING.
All the best.

Everything you are describing sounds very familiar when i went through my treatment at the start of the year

Sleep is the bodies way of healing so dont fight it......enjoy it!.....although i used to get really annoyed with myself for nodding off half way thro a programme and waking up half way into the next!

It will take time.......been 9 months since i finished treatment and still struggle with side effects....but it does get easier

Good to hear you're making progress Dave, even if it's slower than you'd like.
Pete

I know it's easy for me to say Dave, but, no rush, take your time. You'll do it.

Sleep is the best medicine…..well maybe not exactly true but it’s pretty important so just go with it Dave.

Overall it sounds like you’re making good progress, you’ll be back building before you know it 😊

Geoff.

Slowly does it Dave. You'll get there in the end and give your body the rest ot needs.

All the best

Mike

Nice to hear your on the mend Dave, like already said, sleep is needed to repair the body. Take care you’ll soon be building properly again.

I got a mail from Dave he has gad a fall at home and is back in the Hospital. No details at the moment, he'll get a message through later.

Thanks for letting us know Ian. He's having a rough time at the moment. I wish him all the best and hope he recovers soon.

Oh damn, just when things were looking up for him. Get well soon Dave.
Pete

Hope he will get better soon, I was expecting his return any day now, but will take some more time after all...
Take care Dave 👍
