I tried finding out what “The Game Δ” is supposed to be, but that got me nowhere. It says it’s a TV show, but it means nothing to me — or to Google, it seems.

The Game....
The Game is an American television series created by Mara Brock Akil. A spin off of UPN's Girlfriends, the series premiered on its successor, The CW on October 1, 2006.
The series was canceled in May 2009 after three seasons. Viacom's BET Networks would strike a deal with CBS Corporation to develop new episodes of the series, relocating taping of the show from Los Angeles to Atlanta, and announcing its renewal at the April 2010 upfronts. New seasons began airing on BET starting January 11, 2011, with the fourth season premiere drawing 7.7 million viewers, making it the most watched sitcom premiere in cable television history. The show would air for six seasons on BET, being renewed for its final two in 2014, and concluding its run on August 5, 2015.
In May 2021, a revival of the series was ordered by Paramount+ with Robinson, and Chanchez, returning. The revival series premiered on November 11, 2021, and was renewed for a second season in February 2022.

I wonder if ICM have fallen foul of copyright, as they don't mention SG on the latest model

Can't say I'm exactly inspired by the figure, aside from the fact that I've never seen SG, it's just a bloke in orange overalls...........

I had found that too, and quickly discounted it because it doesn’t sound like the kind of show in which someone would be noted as carrying an MP 5

Okay, so it is clearly Squid Game, and yeah, using that name on the packaging would require ICM to pay for a licence to use it, so that must be the reason for them to slightly change it. I’m guessing they aim this at fans of the show, as like you say, it does little for me (who’s never watched it and has no real desire to).

One of those that makes me wonder why they bother, given that the vast majority of modellers and AFV enthousiasts will never have heard of this at all … Except, of course, that the Japanese kit market is HUGE, and that will probably love this.

For all I know, I would really enjoy it, but I don’t feel like watching it

I'm a miserable old git too Dave, but Squid Games was a great TV show. Not that I have any intention of making the model. Let's face it, a good TV show/Film/Book etc doesn't really make a model.
