Today have been working on the undercarriage. They went together very well and had a couple of very small parts to fit.


Also had two sessions with the decals. I put the majority of the main fuzz decals on. The decals were excellent and went on without any issues whatsoever. The Spifire I am building will be in the markings of MJ832 "City Of Oshawa" flown by F/Lt Sten Torkelson Lunberg in The Canadian Air Force 416 Squadron. The aircraft was abandoned in France after crash landing after suffering severe flak damage and Sten was taken POW. Here are a few pictures of where I am at. Still more decals to go on.

I have to say that I have really grown to love the MkIXc Spitfire. I am not surprised that with its two stage blower supercharged engine, larger 4 bladed prop and Merlin 61 engine not to mention the armament upgrades that it was regarded by the pilots as the best Spitfire of all the variants.
