Today saw the finish to the bricks, ------------------I think ?

Cleaned out the widow opening from the back with a file and the frame fits. The photo is taken from the inside.

Then came to wash coat with tyre black .

2022_22.jpg2022_23.jpgNeed to remove some of the lower wash from the side section. I will remake the anchor plates later and refix the hoist section.

Thanks for looking in.

John.

Top job on the painting and mortar John, brings the brickwork to life perfectly…..very realistic :thumb2:

Looking really good John. The mortar has worked very well indeed. Painting individual bricks is a chore, but necessary though. Not done that for many years, but when I did I used watercolour pencils rather than paint because I found it easier to control. Works great if you want to do any decoration in engineering blue bricks.

Wobble,
This as a whole is looking really superb, and is even tempting me to attempt some diorama work, going to get the 10ft x 8ft x 6in foam block out and start practicing, do you think that will be enough or should I order more because of waste... Twinkle toes was on patrol last night walking around and looking to dump the empty cooking oil drum - sneaked out later and put it back outside his door....
email later

Big fan of your architectural projects. Very well done. If it is of any use I have similar sliding doors on my old barn. This is how they work.

When you say 'wall filler' is that stuff like Polyfilla? It looks good. Better than the way I've done it which is dry plaster brushed into the joints and then VMS Ballast Freeze dripped in to set it.
