The difference between what we have and what we had

Thread owner
There are 3 themes so people have a choice, I've been making a few subtle changes to the blue yellow theme, there was too much white and the header banner was too big, hopefully it looks a bit better now

Thanks John, I especially like the smaller font size of the default style since I'm using a phone (have to scroll less with a small font) cheers

I've changed the default theme to the default theme, it was only default in name :p

If you like the larger font then select the Blue Yellow theme, either from the drop down at the bottom of the page or change it in your settings to it's always default for you

Agree with all you have said Tiim. A real shame to see those who weren't willing to give the new format a chance trying to persuade others to leave as well.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday, Colin. A short while ago, I exchanged my 21 plate Grandland X Elite Manual for a 24 plate Grandland Ultimate Automatic - the first automatic I have ever driven. As much as they look almost the same from the outside, there are differences, not just the transmission, but equipment that is no longer in the car and new equipment to get used to.

I've just picked a new van up for work. 7 miles on the clock, all very nice, then I saw the auto gearbox ! An automatic van with a digital dashboard. I am used to analogue and manual, did I make a fuss, hell no.

Don’t remember seeing anyone persuading others to leave Jack?

Im sure if we are honest we dont like change. But sometimes things take us away from our comfort zones and accept change.Patience grasshopper and all that mularkey.I was very annoyed on a previous site where some very uncaring others gave people grief if they were having a personal problem. We never know when we might need somebody to lean on or vent some problem. Its about compassion and sadly lacking in so many. How i look at it is somebody might be all alone with no circle of friends or loved ones for support and if they are struggling then others can lend a friendly ear.I was told before that i was attention seeking and i think Karma might come into play. For my part im always a message away and if i can help someone it pleases me no end.We all have a common interest and cameradrie and thats how it should be.Modelling our way individually and its a hobby isnt it.
My soapbox speech ended.Above all look out for each other and enjoy.

Everyone who has left (looks like 6/7 people) have all ended up in the same place. Don't think that can be called a coincidence.

There was an open member to member comment which I assume the author thought was private, giving the URL of a different site.

I think I’ve found where you mean Jack. Looking at who’s ended up there then they are welcome to ‘em…..miserable bunch of sods who seem to be whining as much over there as they did here.

Its sad some guys have left but I really don’t understand the logic of leaving a forum of which you have been a participating member for a long time and have made many friends.

All due to a change of process which for the most part has resulted in the new forum working much the same as the old one and is still being tweaked to get the best out of it.

Only then to join a different forum where you would need to learn how to use it and you are starting from scratch 🤷‍♂️

I think I said that when we first moved Geoff. It’s basically throwing the baby out with the bath water……….they have ended up somewhere where they still have to learn how it all works, and now don’t have an interpersonal relationship with anyone that can help them. Personally, I think some of them were probably just looking for an excuse to move for whatever reason, but we’re too lazy to do it on thier own.

Hang on John......did i read that right?

Someone leaves here cos they dont like the new software.....fair enuff....free world and all that

Goes to a new place and in his hello thread he says his reason for joining is cos he dont like the software here.......did he or any others mention SM by name?
