Well its high summer, well on this end of the planet at least.

Modelling mojo is normally at a low and the sun tempts us (well most of us), out from the modelling bench and into other 'interests' (often read as duties or obligations).

So the question is this; What do you all get upto when the sun comes out and the mojo goes into hibernation.

Me? I try to keep onto of the weeds in the garden, vanish into the shed and build other things or just catch up on the odd jobs and repairs. At the moment I am sanding the garden furniture right down to bare wood and giving it all a good oiling. Looks rather good for a cheap set.

So how about you lot?

Ian M

Me i have about twenty odd meteres of flower beds to gravel over worth it in the end as bye bye weeding.

Well I've only recently got back into modeling so my mojo is still fairly high but yes in the summer there are more jobs to keep you away from the bench( at least if you want to keep swmbo on side) still it also means longer light so I try and get all the jobs done soon as I get in from work then disappear into the modeling room for an hour or so

Two aquariums, two ponds, two classic cars and lots of gardening all do their best to stop me building.

My agrophobia means never being distracted by the weather! :P

The World Cup was another story!

Nothing stops me fully as the longer daylight means I can work in the evening and although I have a large garden it only takes me an hour to mow it and strim it :D

Making the most of the sun, lovely garden beautiful wife and plenty of sun:D

What models:rolleyes:

What does mojo mean please?
In other words, energy, spirit, drive, passion, etc... You lose your mojo you lose your drive to do something.

Washing ironing hoovering. Sometimes in a different order depending on my mojo !

I haven't had time to scratch my backside lately!. Work, house and packing (move next month), it's all hands to the boxes! o_O. Yes I make an appearance here but that's my get away at the mo, my desk is accumulating dust...mancave next month...WOOHOO!!!

Anyway back to the question, when we have our week of summer, it's normally a mad rush get the garden sorted so we can sit and chill with a beer...or 12 . Yesterday, I got the ladder out and clear the elderly neighbours gutter for them...good samaritan me :D

Hi Ian

Much the same as everyone else - gardening, decorating although work never really stops for me (freelance) which goes someway to explaining why my builds tend to take so long. If i'm not doing any of the above then I like cycling, I used to race in my 20s but now it's strictly a leisure pursuit!

Cheers

If I attempted to do all the jobs that need doing I would have to quit my job first and by the time I'd finished I would be back at the beginning again. So sometime ago I decided not to beat myself up about it as long as the house is clean and tidy and the garden looks respectable I always make sure I have my me time I tell the wife I'm retiring to the settee windows and french doors open nice breeze blowing through the house DVD player on (mainly war films) crank up the volume on the surround system and lay back and soak it up. Or my mancave in the attic funny you should mention patio furniture Ian as I looked at mine the other day and decided I like the rustic look lol. Call me selfish but having worked all day to make a living I'm not coming home to start over again!!!! Nuff said oh and Laurie what are irons and hoovers lol only kidding I'm sure I've used both once

Mojos are little chewy sweets that you used to get for four a penny. There were fruit and black varieties, neither of which appear to be a politically acceptable description nowadays so you can't get them anymore! :)

http://www.sweetieworld.co.uk/brand/Mojo/ - should you feel desperate to get some cavities and urge to visit the dentist more frequently.

I have a list of chores, funny as it never seems to reduce no matter what I do. This w/e shifting my office (work from home me) to the spare bedroom as that is losing the bed - that has also been my man cave so combining my cave and office in one - which could be dangerously distracting for work. Then I need to paint front door, kitchen, wallpaper one wall in the living room, do some work in the garden - most of which can wait a few weeks/months - and when that lot is finished, I'm sure I'll have another list of things to do.

never ending house work that dose make ones mojo go right out the door at times, even cold and rain still need to mow,and weed

it never ends i need like 48hrs per day not 24 , :(

This year I decided to change all my garden.....

And I have to prepare the house for the winter, so, like Ian M I do all kind of works, paint and serach wood for the cold nights.

When you have a family and a home there is always stuff to do.This evening and yesterday evening the wife and I wallpapered our living room. The gardens a mess and needs some attention. The garage roof needs replacing. And like Polux I need to collect wood for the wood burner we had installed last winter. We moved into our current home two and half years ago and have done a hell of a lot of work on it.Im surprised Ive managed to build as many kits as I have.
