Sorry I have not been around much and missed the build but that has turned out very beautifully. A really top notch build.

Well done.

Cheers Andrew. Very kind of you. Great kit, to be honest, almost built itself 👍

That's a great result Tim. Love the subtle variation in the paint work.

Cheers Jim. That’s a combination of the under shading and a gentle touch with the top coats, nothing more complicated. Soot stains were ground up pastel chalk put on by brush, by the way.

Cracking job Tim, superb paint work 🤩

Geoff.

Cheers Geoff. Looks OK doesn’t it….not so great close up, though the rougher finish helped the weathering chalks take to the surface.

Very nice indeed Tim. I'm sure Alan would approve.

Most excellent Sir. Alan would approve.
A great job on the mottle too!

Thanks Ian, I hope so 👍. The mottling was far easier than I expected. Put it off for ages, then just went for it and it worked really well. Secret seems to be well thinned paint and a lower than usual pressure, coupled with a very light touch on the trigger.
