Actually you could.... Let me find a picture in one of my books.Cheers Colin. Agreed about the cannon, and remember the four mgs are located in the front of the bomb bay behind and under your seat as well……don’t know if you could fire them all together, but it would be a hell of a row if you could.
That's one way to put it!!Excellent picture Andrew. That’s a lot of metal in a small footprint isn’t it!

I'm not saying that 5 in 1 is incorrect Andrew (because I don't know) but we used what was termed 'Four Bit' in our GPMGs - ie 4 Ball to 1 Tracer round - I wonder if they're the same thing?Hi Tim,
Here's the other version. Although in hindsight I think the double-page spread has better definition.
As for the amount of metal in the "footprint", it's just dawned on me that we're only seeing the tracer rounds......about 1 in 5 I believe...... that really is a lot of lead......
ATB.
Andrew
Can't be a coincidence..... Surely? I've got 1 tracer round in 5 in my head for some reason.... But can't remember where I got it from....or if it referred to British or German ammo loadsI'm not saying that 5 in 1 is incorrect Andrew (because I don't know) but we used what was termed 'Four Bit' in our GPMGs - ie 4 Ball to 1 Tracer round - I wonder if they're the same thing?

You think it's mystical hearing about it...... Try using some of it.....still have dreams/nightmares for my only extensive go at it!!I'm loving the detail Tim. It's making me want to try a larger than 1/72 scale aircraft next time and try some of this mystical PE I keep hearing of.
Mike
Cheers Mike. Give it a go, it really isn’t that hard it just takes a slight change of mindset and different glue…..in this case it can be looked at as mostly metal stickers with no glue. The only slightly tricky part are the seat belts. The biggest trick with PE is to cut it out on a hard surface. If you use a cutting board it can distort. I use a scrap of MDF shelf.I'm loving the detail Tim. It's making me want to try a larger than 1/72 scale aircraft next time and try some of this mystical PE I keep hearing of.

I refer the honourable gentleman to my previous reply :smiling5:You think it's mystical hearing about it...... Try using some of it.....still have dreams/nightmares for my only extensive go at it!!:smiling5::cold-sweat:
The only known use for Take that CDs…..I use an old CD BTW.
Unfortunately my wife does own one..... so thanks for the reminder that I need a new PE cutting mat!The only known use for Take that CDs…..
