The old thread was getting a bit leggy so John and I agreed time to start a new one. Please try to stick to aeroplanes and helicopters. Should you get a clear photo of a shed, of cattle flying over the house .... OK then those too.

What about flying pigs?

Oh yeah....more chance of that than a honest government that cares about people

:p sorry....couldnt resist

Well, we are spending this week in the land of the janners, twice we have seen a Spitfire fly over, once in Dawlish and then over Exmouth, no pics, to slow to get phone out to get a pic

Pics taken yesterday while lawn mowing; it looks like a NH90. Quality: low (cell phone camera, the second pic in zoom mode); clouds: nice.

yesterday about half twelve i am quite sure i had seen a yellow seaking i wasn't quick enough for a pic either that or i have had to much xmas spirit and i don't drink!

Dang missed the Staghound that took off at the nearby airbase when the USS Abe Lincoln stopped over. Would have been great to see it flying as it will be replaced by the Osprey shortly and no chance of another carrier visit anywhere soon.

Cheers,
Wabble

We've had a lot of Chinook action this week, going on until quite late in the evenings too. Bit of underslung load training for 16 Air Assault Bde I would guess. Apologies for the quickly grabbed phone pics. I missed the one where they had a 6-wheeler Pinzgauer dangling....

Had a bit of Jet Provost action this past few days. Unfortunately only the usual quickly snapped phone pics and they were not so close by the time I had it ready. Looked like they were practising for a display or something......

Bromide callsign is a dassault falcon used by Draken as well Screenshot_20250512-104437_Chrome.jpg

Just flown over. They stayed the night at Aerospace Broughton nr. Chester. Lancasters were made there during WW2.

Heard them coming and I near broke my neck coming down from my den!

Cracking Ron 🤩. Had the Spitfire and Hurricane fly over here (Shrewsbury) earlier, no Lanc though but I did see all three fly over yesterday afternoon 😊

Thanks Geoff.

The Spitfire did a couple of circuits here yesterday, but I missed getting any pictures. Didn't see the Hurricane or Lanc. although I heard them!

The Lancaster flew off around mid-day today. i believe something was going on in the Midlands that required its attention! That's probably why you didn't see the Bomber today.
The Spit. went off on a southerly course.

Not exactly over our house but half of the European branch of NATO have been flexing over the baltic for a few weeks now so a daily rumble of fighter and heavyweight aircraft over the coast every time the wind blows onshore. Judging by the noise the Danish F-35 has been showing off as well. Noisy.
Had a B52 fly over a week or so ago as well. At night. Even noisier!

Out having a meal Saturday evening with family at the Sussex Ox, Alfriston
Unmistakable sound of a lone Spitfire flying overhead.
No camera, but nice to see against the clear sky
