What flew over your house (yesterday)

Getting the guns to work....difficult but doable....getting a cat to do any work at all....no chance!

That’s a great picture. Old Mr Ginger is a chunky lad isn’t he.....

Feed him with a conveyer belt lol, hes a beast of a cat and he does my head in but got to love him, the black and white is Mr Nibs, he puts up with him as he's a good heat source!!

Seen the Red Arrows a couple of times over the last week or so, but I'm a bit slow on my feet, and by the time I've got my camera they're probably on the ground at Fairford ( just up the road )

Yeah, they were down here doing up-diddly-ups and down-diddly-downs for the G-Severners on Saturday.

Got a shot of this by the time I got my handphone from the dining room...what is it. I know Revell has a kit of it in all yellow. I know it's a floatplane that flies often overhead.

Saw those in action in Corsica years ago, not only filling from the sea but dumping it on the fires very near where I was.

Well, actually I don't know what it was. We often get the sight and sound of an old Jet Provost flying around hereabouts and I thought that's what it was today. However, by the time it came into view it as much louder and I didn't get much of a look.

He turned around out of sight but still within earshot and as he came back I could see that the fuselage was much sleeker and with a more pointed nose than the aforementioned plane plus it had a high tailplane. Wings were straight like the Provost but slimmer and perhaps a bit longer.

Any ideas from you aero experts??

Nick

Wish I could see them in action.

Cheers,
Richard

We were very glad when they turned up, the fires had been burning in the valleys either side of where we were working and then started coming back up our valley. They spent a couple of days keeping it at bay. Ultimately the weather broke spectacularly and sorted it all out.

Interesting times !

I moved to a new farm a few months ago and it just so happens to be at the end of RAF Lossiemouth's runway. Here are a few shots taken today of the Poseidon and Typhoon.

The first pic you can see my farm and how close it is to the base.
The second and third pic is a Typhoon waiting to take-off and then engaging reheat to take off.
Forth is it in flight.

Yeah it can be. That Typhoon was doing a display as well as it was RAF Lossiemouth's Family & Friends Open day. So we had 10 mins of LOUD!. The Red Arrows were also meant to do a display but the cloud level was at 800ft so by law they couldn't perform.
