What's on the Bench 2025

After several hours of flatting and polishing I managed to achieve a decent finish. Some small sinkage marks are present around the ejector seat roof panel and bullet proof shield but will live with them.
Now to mask and apply chrome in the relevant places.
When completed I will wax and ceramic coat it to get a proper shine.

Going to put this one in here rather than a dedicated build thread cos i have a terrible record with biplanes..... They dont often get finished.... And no i wont be doing any rigging lol

When i saw the schemes on the box i had to buy it

The RAF option is for a meteorology aircraft of Coastal Command based at RAF Bircham Newton in Norfolk July 1942

I have driven thro Bircham Newton hundreds of times in my life ( it became a construction training facility after the war) as my mum was born in a village only 10 miles away

My dad was based as Bircham Newton in 1943.......he was what today would be called an instrument technician..... He worked on all sorts of aircraft...... He once told me the King made a visit and his Anson went unservicable and dad got the job of swopping out some instruments

Mum and dad met at a village dance like they did back in those days

First problem will be paint...... Thought it would be usual green/dark grey/light grey...... But its not cos its Coastal Command colours..... Seem to be different.... But either way i dont have the right ones
