Good afternoon chaps

It's been a long time since I last posted, that long I cannot remember?

Thought I would update you all, if you are interested. If not sorry!

The majority of my time has been taken up with visiting mum in hospital. She appears to be slowly deteriorating especially her mental state. The hospital are looking to discharge her into a care home for whatever time she has. I am demanding a scan to see how much the tumour is spreading. It's now almost impossible to have a sensible chat when I visit and it's heart breaking. But nothing I can do.

Now a surprise,a change of modelling as well. I have decided to concentrate on ships and am selling my StuG kits and most of the books. Will have to think of a new name lol

Have done a bit more on the Hood in relation to sorting out the terrible hawses bow and stern. Next first use of milliput to make hopefully new ones.

So sorry to hear of your mum's declining health. A heartbreaking thing to deal with.
All the best with your move into ship modelling. Just keep saying to yourself over and over again "No tracks", otherwise you're gonna get into one hell of a mess :rolling:

Bob,
It's devastating to see a parent gradually disappearing, the person you love becoming more unresponsive and distant. My Grandmother & Mother followed the same downward path. Never an easy time - you must take care of yourself, too easy to sink into a depression..................
I reckon the release of all your StuG stash will have a bad effect on the market - a glut!

I just feel that my lovely, beautiful mum is slowly disappearing. I know she's in there but I cannot reach her anymore. Ripping my heart out.

I will build more Stugs but I can build one without the plans and once you have built one? Ships are far more challenging, well for me anyway.

As for a new name, will have a good old think!

sorry to read about your mum, I'm going through a similar situation - not knowing how she will be when I visit her, and the ongoing decline. All very sad, but mine is 95 so to be expected. i take confort that she is not in pain. i hope you mum is not suffering pain or discomfort.
