Tim, must have fired me up because I've spent an hr looking at maps of the area, and just about to look at German armoured trains ! Pity there don't appear to be any photos of the actual attack. What a great story.
Just had a look at MiniArt wagons, would need 3 at £ 35 each plus the track. Pity as it would be a great diorama, something to think about.:smiling3:
Im stuck in the same conundrum.Humid weather drains the old energy.I just paint my beach stones to pass the time.Havent built a kit in a few years,Maybe John can join me in building a kit jointly,I could maybe get a Russian tank to do,Maybe an old Tamiya T.34 for a nostalgia trip?.
Rich.
Sounds a nice idea Rhichard.
Snap out of it JR....Matron is on her way over to take your temp and boy is she pisssssssssed! Having to go out in this heat is driving her MAD. I suggest you get an attitude change quick, fast and in a hurry afore she gets there or it'll be Hell to pay..........I'm off to find a good hide till she's gone..........Later Mate. Rick H.
OH God Rick, I better buck up before she arrives. The thought of seeing that bike coming up the road is enought.
This must be serious if Matrons on her way in the heat to check on you John. And its a first to get a sad imoji from you...now snap out of it...do your build in your undies if the heat bothers you. I'm sure your man cave is safe and secluded.
See you at the bench, but first I'll hide next to Rick. :smiling2:
Richard.
The cave actually has two doors so a through breeze can be had. Today I finished a piece of jigsaw that was lost from a 1000 part one, cut it out to shape and thickened it up with card
painted in Vallejo and finished in satin varnish.
Hi John
gently gently catchie Mojo!
My renewed motivation is due to a return to work, but from home, so I'm motivated to do something else whilst waiting for the work server to try and log me on!
As it has already been said, when you "Have" to do something else, your mind wanders back to modelling!
Get stuck into a none modeling job, and even if it doesn't spark the mojo, its something less to do when you get back to the bench
Enjoy the unseasonal summer too, it might not last for that long?
Regards
Steve H
Hi Steve, iv'e been in the garden , but early as by 1100 was in direct sun, did a fair amount of trimming then back inside and finished that part above. Do think doing that part has made me want to do more painting.
John, just a short post to say that you are not alone with this 'phenomena'. Lately - whether it's isolation or not - I can spend all day working on a model (or two), thoroughly absorbed, then the next I don't want to go near the bench. And recently I've taken to starting a model with great enthusiasm which dissipates halfway through the build and I have to start on something else before returning to the former some days later. Usually I have some insight into my mood variations but lately that seems to have deserted me also. Isolation is doing some mental mischiefs methinks.
Hi Murfie, strange times mate, makes you think it could be part of the problem. I ve never really had a major dip so this does seem strange.
:fearful::flushed::worried::sad:.
Well its a lot cooler here tonight, the forecast said 93 % of rain............................ yeah right, good job their not paid on results, as its still blue skies with a little cloud.
Night all .
