This was a really enjoyable build. Well moulded parts that fitted together very well indeed. Plenty of options for different versions, and 5 different colour & decal schemes included.

Thanks to everyone that followed the build, and once again thank you for all the encouraging comments and reactions.

EDIT: I've just realised I haven't removed the masking from the side windows yet! :rolling:

Andy.

A top, top effort. You should be VERY proud of it.

Hard to believe you've only been doing this hobby for a couple of years (if I remember correctly).

Looking forward to seeing what your turn out next!

ATB.

Andy,

Excellent work, very nice finish on the paintwork.

Now all you need is a "load" in the back end!!!!
"Chopped-up" Chinook maybe???? :tongue-out3: :smiling::smiling::sick:

Paul.
:smiling:

Looks really great Andy. Hope you've got somewhere to put it!

Nick

Well done. Beautiful finishes on a very clean build. PaulE

Thanks Andrew, I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I made my first model in April 2019 so I'm approaching 2 years. Still so much to learn!

Thanks Paul.

It does look a bit empty in the back. Maybe I should get more figure practice on a few dozen paratroopers :smiling5:

That really is VERY nice Andy.
Thanks Neil, I really appreciate that.

Looks really great Andy. Hope you've got somewhere to put it!

Thanks Nick. Nope, I'm still trying to find space! :smiling2:

Really like this model Andy, nice paintwork! :thumb2:
Steven
Thanks Steven. I'm learning more with each model but definitely getting closer to the kind of look I've been trying for.

Well done. Beautiful finishes on a very clean build. PaulE
Thanks Paul. The great fit helped as I didn't have to mess around with it too much.

Top job Andy.
Great result.
Thanks Ron. It has to be one of my favourites so far.

Very nice Andy. I haven't built one of these in absolute years. I also haven't read Viz, in absolute years.

Looking very good, clean and ready to go!

All it needs is some figures with spray guns next to it, and you won’t even need to remove those window masks ;)

Thank you Colin, Paul, Pete, Jakko & Tim.

It's currently stuck in the shed as I've run out of room in the house, especially with the Xmas decorations! Will hopefully have a move round soon as I definitely want to show this one off :smiling3:

Beautiful job andy , theres something really satisfying about finishing a large model - then comes the realisation of where the hell is it going to go ?!!

Evening Andy,

The boys have said it all and I can only concur. This is one excellent piece of your modelling skills and the finish is outstanding. Truly fine work Sir!!!

Now, as to where to put it, I would blu-tack a cup underneath and place on top of the Christmas tree where everyone could see this beauty......Just a thought..............

Prost

Indeed Tony, and thanks. During painting it's been drying overnight on top of our fridge as that was the only place for it. The management has made it very clear that was a one-off!

Thanks Allen. If I wrap it in tinsel and fairy lights, she might not notice.... :smiling5:

I've still got a 1:72 B36 hanging from the garage ceiling. It's just too big to go anywhere else.

That would be an idea, but since I can't even stand up straight in the shed without banging my head I'd have to position it carefully lol.
