Hi All

So having seen this recommended on Andy Smythe's Hewi thread I picked this up second hand online. I only have a couple of Vietnam books so thought why not.......

Good choice! Excellent story telling! If you enjoy that may I suggest a limited reading list from my collection: Karl Marlantes 'Matterhorn'; Michael Sallah et al 'Tiger Force'; Bill Goshen's 'War Paint' and the slightly earlier 'Flags of our Fathers (James Bradley).

Mail Man dropped off these Revell Classics of last week. Last year I finished out my collection of these now I’m buying doubles to build. These will be built.
I built plenty of these as a kid Lee , always loved the ‘ frameable’ box art , what would look really nice is a big frame with about 9 of them in , sort of like when they frame cigarette card collections , cheers tony

Thanks Steve. I'll look them up.

Cigarette card collections? It'll be matchbox labels, cheese labels or (dare I say it?) beer mats next!! (Quelle horreur mon leetle cabbarge!)

It's a long time since I did a modern jet, and I have the 1/48 Revell Tornado & Typhoon in the stash, so.................

Three Metal Modeles 54mm Napoleonpic figures. All in first class condition. Minimal packaging but superb sculpts and white metal castings. I’ll probably SBS these when I get around to them.....and that won’t be that long in coming for the first one, I’ve just got to clear the current projects first!

I have a collection of these figures by Bruno Leibovitz. They really are very nice castings and they paint up great. I trust you will blog them....

John, I’m planning to blog them, but not immediately. I will get them to the bench when the current projects are cleared. They look like the cleanest white metal castings I’ve seen for a long time, so I’m looking forward to it. Don’t think I’ve ever seen your collection? Have you posted pictures?

Well there been some good hauls while I've been otherwise engaged. I did get these recently from John.

Can't complain, my clumsiness broke the original - I'm lucky Eduard don't charge for spares! Now, I can finish that model, at last!

Looks like you have “Marshalled” up a few there John ;) Fantastic painting as well, any chance of some close ups on their own thread?

My collection of planes used in Airborne operations landed me this although I put up quite a fight to not increase my stash. It was the last one on the shelf and at sale price...

I opted for this version rather than the brown and green camo...too many of those already for my bomber group. Ugly isn't she.

Cheers,
Richard

Painting and decorating all day in my mother’s kitchen. Finished about four o’clock and decided I needed a browse around the LMS. Walked out with these. B7F6B0A2-AA81-4744-9269-9B3A8CFE266C.jpeg14744610-A4AC-4713-AC6C-829B15714C93.jpeg

One of the multiplicity of boxings of this model by Hasegawa - an ebay auction win, at not a bad price.
