I’ve had the ship book a while as well, and agree with Bob. Well worth it. Dazzling PT boat as well Jim…..you’ve got to do that camo!

I know in 1/72 RS models do one , and theres the easy assembly Hobbyboss one too . Theres always the Tamiya 1/48 but they seem to be few and far between . Some of the Heller kits arent too bad really , if you can live with raised panel lines and a distinct lack of interior details , the SMER reboxings are the best bet though as they have excellent decals , although in the case of the D520 its an old clunker from 1965 !I’ve wanted a D.520 for some time, but can’t find anywhere that sells a good one (I don’t think I want to fiddle with the old Heller kit or its current incarnations).
I think I’d want the RS Models one, though from what Dave said, maybe I’ll just go for the Hobby Boss kit insteadI know in 1/72 RS models do one , and theres the easy assembly Hobbyboss one too .

I've got the George turning up anytime now, interested to know how you get on.All the way from China.................
Bit difficult to tell, but wooden decks for the Tamiya 1/700 HMS Nelson ( l ) & HMS King George V. I don't know how these will work out in such a small scale...................
Dave
I got this cheap off Ebay as I have taken a fancy to floaty things and I will use this model to test the water as they say.
If I don't like building ships then I have not wasted a lot of money.
Andy.
Wow... I didn`t know that Jim:rolling:,....Hi Dave
I built the sister ship to HMS Nelson, HMS Rodney. I used a wooden deck and it was fine. I'll look forward to both your ship builds.
Jim
