oh great nr everybody can bar me them gremlins from tiger have struck here now as when i bring mine up they nr go right off the page

Don’t know then mate, sorry. When I clicked the smiley icon it was added to the top icon line to the right of the “add picture” icon, ready for use.

WELL Tim it wont work for me ive treid to hold them an move them up where they should be but no joy i wonder if i copy an paste will help ?

Have you tried just tapping them, rather than dragging them up?

The options used to be there automatically whereas now you have to bring them up. Less easy to use than it was.

If you have a lot of smilies on screen all the time that is extra bandwidth being used for no advantage most of the time.
I know that it is very little data , but very little data x every page open , soon mounts up.
I prefer to have to select smilies then pick the ones I want or just type the chars to make one

Chris, just move your cursor to the imoji and click on it and the full spectrum of imoji will pop up as usual. Choose the one you want click on that but make sure in your previous page you have left your cursor right after the end of the line or full stop that you want the emoji to appear then click on the emoji...it should insert itself.

Basically the new spartan bar format saves data space. The 3 dots always denotes any extra applications without having to spell it out.
Notice the change in interface yesterday and thought my HP was playing with me and it only occurred to me that it could be the new server change and format at the site.

You can insert pictures randomly one after another by clicking the insert icon on the left top of the picture and out pops either thumbnail or full picture to choose and you click your preference.

Haven't tried on my laptop yet...been on the HP lately downstairs in my other cave. Need to update my higher res images into the folders there.

Interesting this. I get the same Chris, except, the emoji icon appears to the right of the picture insert icon on the top line? Mind you, I only get one icon in the group on the left, the bullet point one. My indent icon is in the secondary group. Not sure how to change these settings?

OK - on the right of the top bar - you'll see 3 dots, one above the other - click this - it'll say 'more options' & the emoji icon will be there!

ps If you click the three dots to the right of the tT - you can access font family, underscore etc

I pm'd John about this yesterday and was told the fault was on my computer........got that sorted, but as you say Ian, my tablet won't allow them at all. Hope you guys get this sorted as it is mucking up the works and We're missing out on all the good bench time while trying to relearn the forum.
