Love it....
I have "Flames in the Sky" Pierre's take on aerial warfare in WW2.
I'd also recommend Johnny Johnsons WW2 bio....

Went and picked up a rather large parcel from the post office this morning from japan, been promising myself a big floaty thing for ages so even after paying vat and fees ive saved about 80 quid :smiling3: that will cover some brass bits. Cant wait to get started on one of them but patience will be needed as the p51 gb is almost apon us.
Yamato is a beast in 350th..... i inherited a RC converted Tamiya kit in '87...... monster, these days theres an extra 6mths lasercut decks & PE to add to the build lol
Good luck
Nick

That's definitely worth £3!!!! As for books they might have to wait. I have far too much on my new bookcase and it's filling up fast.....

Well Mark, those two are going to take a lot of time and a lot of shelf space. I look forward to see the builds.

Another of my 'most wanted' list crossed off - a Sunday DPD delivery - only ordered Saturday morning!

On sale at a well known Scottish Modelshop - at very good price.
I attempted to make this about ten years ago & made a complete hash of the metallic paint. I've been waiting to pick another up at the right price! Not sure about the 3D puzzle diorama & the paints, but the brushes & glue will always be useful!

Oh I don't know Dave.....
.... I reckon the 3d puzzle Dio could be good fun,and rather novel :)

Good catch from your point of view Dave. Interesting vehicle. Weird red cone effect behind the driver though, looks like something the pet shop boys would wear :tongue-out3:

A recent eBay “win” arrived today.

I got it for less than the usual price for a Airfix Lanc plus it has the decals for Eric Locks Spitfire which I have wanted for ages.
No stand or paint, glue etc but I didn’t want them anyway :smiling4:

Geoff.

Me too. I have one in the stash, given to me by my brother in law when I restarted the hobby. He’d had it barely started since he was a kid…..

Well,I`ve always liked these things for some reason,
They weren`t very good in their initial "Daytime Fighter" role,so were taken off those duties and turned "Nightfightery"...... which they did,a bit better at:thumb2:.
I`m selling my 1/72nd kit,(Which is still available if anyone`s interested;)!),as i much prefer 1/48 scale for a bit of an easier assembly,so grabbed this off Ebay for £20 including delivery:cool:.

Andy,
easy assembly? - I'd approach the turret assembly with caution and loads of dry fitting!

Andrew, I have two different edition of that book, one in Italian dating back to the '60s and an e-reader recent edition in French I purchased last year. They are different... some episodes you can read in the Italian version are not reported in the French one and vice versa. I hope yours is really the "unabridged" edition.
A good read, anyway, but I share Alan's suspect about stretching...:smiling4:
