Latest Acquisitions (2022)

Probably be me too then.

Anyhoo postie's been and I'm adding some FAA love to my RAF journey.....
There's a few issues as this is based on their Skua kit, apparently the Roc had asingle fuel tank not a twin and the prop was also bigger, I'll have to check these but should be easy to fix. ( Or ignore......)
Looks like a cross between a B.P.Defiant and a Hellcat!!

Interested to see this built….I have the Skua in my stash……seriously stupid concept for a fighter aircraft though……,

Apparently the wings need some serious filling on both kits.
(And I'm interested in seeing the Skua built.)

The Amazon man called - I'd been after a new saucepan & found one a few pounds short of the £20 threshold for free delivery - I had a look around for a top up & found this at £11.99 - much cheaper than anywhere else!

A quick glance - it seems to have a full set of PE railings :thumb2:

Took a risk on this with a well battered box but everything is fine and all sprues are still in factory sealed bags and it was cheap enough.

I have one more kit on the way and that's enough money spent for this year!

Andy.

For some reason i saw this and instantly thought of the T.V. show 'BJ and the Bear'

Yes, same type of truck, I think ERTL or AMT did a 1/24 model of the BJ and the bear one a few years ago.

Can you see how I ripped into this package with feverish enthusiasm? Raphael 8404's - do you blame me?

I was really impressed with Hubert Meyer's book about the 12.SS.Pz.Div in Normandy and i've wanted to know what they did after Falaise. I did some searching around and have found Hubert Meyer has done a follow up book (Vol 2) from Falaise onwards until the end of the war. It has very good reviews so i have gone ahead and purchased it. It shall also help me decide what kits to buy for my upcoming Ardennes dio as well.

I shall do a review of it once read.

Never worked on these so will be after advice! The details are superb but not cheap.

Looks lovely Bob. I imagine in 1/16 the parts take a fair while to print...

Hi Nick, would have thought so
They are designed by David Parker, and you could spend a fortune, really got to be careful!!

Had a bit of a modelling windfall today,
An old army friend cleared out his uncle's house after he'd died and found the following, he passed them on to me with wishes that i do whatever i want with them..

I'm a bit unsure what to do,
I'm not a big figure painter.. and will probably end up selling them off and using the cash generated to purchase stuff i'll use on my current builds.. (not sure on prices though).

Heh, I have that one in the stash, purchased a year or two (I think) ago for less than a plastic kit of the same vehicle sets you back. Still not sure if I’ll build it or leave it in its box for historic/collector reasons, though.
