I used:
  1. MIG's oil & grease solution
  2. Vaseline
  3. MIG's black, rust & dust pigments

Could have been a real picture but for the fine hair at the top. :smiling6:

Cheers,
Wabble

I echo the guys above me. Looks real. If you'd said it was a picture of a real one I wouldn't have known.

I can see a few truck builds getting revisited soon lol.
That looks amazing Charles!

That looks really good except for the rust. I have not seen rust on a working fifth wheel, only on those in storage and clean. But a great effort at replicating an item that a lot of truck modellers forget or ignore.

After service or new.

Hi Mike. I've seen rust on quite a few, and yes, they have not been used in awhile. ;) Most have been left outside neglected, but there is rust on some. ;) Thanks for commenting.

Charles that is superb ,wether with the rust right or wrong thing correct or not personally its down to how the eye perceives it your bang on buddy ,the same with weathering yes its all gone ott but its been taken to a art form thats now accepted within the modeling world we know its wrong but have come to accept that its pleasing to the eye hope people understand what I'm trying to say.
