I found methylated spirit to be even better than IPA but I don't know if it has any effect on glue joints.
Pete
Hi Pete, didn't think of that, but as I had the IPA in stock used that.

Need to filter this lot some how, as don't really want to ditch it, any ideas ?

John.

You could try a coffee filter John. Or leave it in a sealed container and see if it settles.
Pete

It will still work even if coloured with paint residue. I’d be quite surprised ifit could be filtered as the paint it’s taken off is dissolved in the IPA.

Glad the IPA worked so well. Model looks totally "unpainted".
I reckon Tim is right in that the paint has dissolved into the alcohol and so won't filter out.

Well, paint settles in the tin/jar before it's sprayed so I wouldn't be surprised if it dis the same after being dissolved. Not so sure about filtering, but it's worth a try.

Have some coffee filters coming so will give it a try. Each time I've changed the container there's some in the bottom, and the colour of the "soup" is lighter.

Took the lot off Jim, including a sprocket! Will try , but I can't see the colour going completely in the IPA left

I'll try to filter it Pete, used a large Ice cream tub volume of IPA , would be nice to save some

Back with the new Tamiya paint, first thing was the do the primer using MR Hobby 1000.
Decided to prime the T34 at the same time.
What a difference , no tip dry, easier cleaning. What did I struggle so long with acrylics and AB I'll never know.

Evening Mr Race, The T34 and StuG look good under a coat of primer 👍

I must admit to liking Tamiya paints and Mr Hobby primers however I’ve recently been using VMS acrylic primer and find it very smooth
