A sweet little kit from Academy, most of the minor issues were of my own making. My only criticism was the difficulty in the fit of the external stores, and very delicate decals. But for the money it's a gem, highly recommended. I'd go there again for sure.

Finished to represent Cessna A-37B Dragonfly 69-6359 of the 8th Special operations Squadron (tail code EK), 14th Special Operations Wing, Bien Hoa, South Vietnam, 1970. the 8th SOS was on 24/7 Close Air Support and Counter Insurgency duties until 1972. '359' was shot down by ground fire with the loss of its pilot at An Loc, South Vietnam, on 23rd July 1972.

Primary colours used were Mig Ammo #004 (FS34102 Green), #206 (FS34079 Dark Green), #202 (FS30219 Tan), and #226 (FS36622 Grey). All out of box except: seat harnesses from Tamiya tape; exhaust pipes from paint brush tip protector tube; antennae wires from thin brass wire.

Nice one Jo. The Dragonfly is not a large aircraft by any means. That must be tiny it One seventytooth lol
Sits very low.

Excellent build Joe. You have managed to get an extraordinary amount of finesse into such a small build.

What a striking finish Joe....it's definitely a stand out model!....And you got the Dog's!! :thumb2: :thumb2:

Ooooooh.....do I like that?? NOPE!

I LOVE it.

Joe, that really is a top finish especially in the one true scale!! Looks far larger.

Very well done indeed and a worthy winner of the canine related award.

All the best!!

Andrew

Joe, that is one mean looking little squirt, and what a punch it carries too!

Very nicely presented.

Great build.

What a great result. Very good detail especially for 1/72. Excellent paint job.

Great finish there Joe. I like the SEAC colours and have an F-111 waiting for the go.
In my eyes, a good looking aircraft, but how did it ever get airborne with all them stores ?
