Ray Hanna flying the Spitfire under the Bridge in "piece of cake" would be a good one. Especially for someone that is really ace at doing diorama with water and bridges and all that...
Hmm who could that be...?

I've thought a little too much about doing the whole of the centre of "Clermont" (Vizinada) over the past couple of years. Tigers in the square, Cowboy up the tower, Kelly & Oddball in the buildindg and the rest coming in to town.I've always wanted to do the scene from Kelly's Heroes,
Where Oddball's Sherman fires the pink paint shell at the rear of the Tiger :smiling3:

Used to be a bridge over a road in Winchester called spitfire bridge because someone supposedly did just that…..unfortunately when the road was upgraded and widened it was taken down. Excellent TV series, but the book is even better. If you haven’t read it, get a copy. You won’t be disappointed.A subtly lit box diorama depicting one of the tense moments in the (sail, fin etc) conning tower from 'Das Boot' - 1/35 scale, scratchbuilt interior! Beyond me I'm afraid :disappointed2:

I've forwarded this recommendation to my Supplier (SWMBO) with a 'not-very subtle' hint - may be unlucky for a while as she's justExcellent TV series, but the book is even better. If you haven’t read it, get a copy. You won’t be disappointed.
Probably all relocated to the Middle Wallop museum of army flying. They have a significant section on airborne operations, though it’s been a few years since I last went and I can’t remember if it was there or not….When the Airborne Forces Museum was located at Browning barracks in Aldershot I was always fascinated by a 1/72 diorama of the northern end of the bridge at Arnhem during the attack by an SS unit. It featured a section of the bridge and ramp with the towns buildings around it.
It must have been about 8 feet square.
I have no idea what happened to it , or many of the other exhibits, when the museum closed.
Will have a look through my photos from last year when I get a minute....Probably all relocated to the Middle Wallop museum of army flying. They have a significant section on airborne operations, though it’s been a few years since I last went and I can’t remember if it was there or not….

Tend to agree mate - not seen - perhaps at one of the IWMs - will check and come back soonestI don’t think it went there, didn’t see it on my last visit in 2019.
Who wrote that? Was it Paul Brickhouse, or is my memory failing me as well as my other parts ... ?Here is one I did a few years ago - the film based on the book based on the true story. . It's still a great read, and a great film.
