discussion Ghosts of a modelling past - well it is nearly Halloween!

[Nicko]

Came across this lot recently, most of its been following me for about 50 years, some maybe a little longer than that. I dare say I'm not the only one.

Needless to say, the decals have now gone in the bin.

Anyone else care to share their 'ghosts'?

I've got boxes of decals and parts. I really should have a cull and clean up.

Well.........
Five storage boxes full of spares.....1/35 Armour, 1/35 figures, 1/24 cars, 1/12 bike, 1/72 plane

Decals are in a folder..... Aircraft sorted by Nation.... Sections for things like numbers and stripes and logo's..... Sections for armour and cars

I’ve got a folder like that . I’ve also got several boxes of unused kit parts. Don’t know why I keep them really, I don’t think I’ve ever used them

Ive got a decal stash like that too , some of them nigh on fifty years old too . Thing is a lot of them will still be usable , they made them tough in the old days! Proof of point is the Frog gypsy moth I did recently , the original decals performed brilliantly despite being at least 50 years old .

That is very organised Paul. I need to up my game!

[Neil]

er, well I have time on my hands now, I can make time to pretend I may get organised - I won't, but I can always hope that I might.

I keep decals, but have sort of given up keeping spare parts. They 'collection' just got bigger and bigger, but I rarely ever dipped into it.
