So here are my sprue shots for my contribution to this GB. If you recall I will be aiming at something like this in 1/6th scale

So this is how I start. One roughly shaped block of wood, Magic Sculpt, Fimo and fingers crossed.

Thanks guys
GRC = Gendarmerie Royal Canadien

Shouldn't be any fumes John although I have been known to fart during periods of high concentration.

OK first stage nearly done. This is the rough sculpt in Magic Sculpt that tries to get all the relative bits in the right places. This will be almost entirely covered in the detailed level sculpt which will mostly be done in heat hardening clay.

A great idea John. I've enjoyed your sculpting skills in the past and I'm sure I'll enjoy this. Already off to a great start.

Crikey that’s good, sculpting is way beyond my abilities :surprised:

I shall follow along with great interest if I may John.

Geoff.

Hi John,
Reminds me of Sgt Preston of the Yukon TV series with his husky. Too bad it's a bust to add a husky. The base body and head is looking good.

Cheers,

Thanks chaps all comments are very much appreciated.

No husky I'm afraid.

I worked on his hat. More complicated than it might look, I still think it might be a little big, but it matches my references.

Also been working on the basic jacket and his head. Now reunited and ready for the uniform details.

I was going for the more mature version. Still needs some cleaning up.

Fantastic stuff John. The hat looks wearable…..and he looks suitably grizzled to suit his outdoor life….

You're definitely off to a great start Mr. B!!! If this sculpt comes out as good as all of your others, it will be another masterpiece for the showcase Sir. I hope all is well in Quebec and the snow isn't too deep either...
