My latest additions to the kits. They are so different from the cheap crud I bought, broke, and sent back.

I use Gator Glue rather a lot so having read Alan G's post about Gator Glue ceasing production I thought I had better build up my stock. Hard to find but eventually found a shop in Germany with stock. It arrived this morning :tongue-out3:

I've not tried the Thin stuff before.

One interesting thing - those white packing pieces. Well these aren't plastic. They are made of corn starch and dissolve easily in water. So instead of plastic in the environment you just wash them down the sink :thumb2: I thought that was good.

Nice buy Jim. WRT the corn starch packing, it’s great stuff, but don’t use them to pack finished models if you’re moving. If they get damp they can stick to the model.....guess how I know!

Few more books for reference today, you can never have too many books.

Thanks to Dave's heads up, I've just returned from L**l with this fistful of 'Starter' kits.

Superb little models to construct.

The glues, paints and brushes will all keep me going for ages - and all at a fraction of the cost of similar 'superior' stuff.

...and guess what? I'm off out to Al** tomorrow for some more!

eduard pfalz.jpgICM I-153 Chinese.jpg
The Pfalz is one of the earlier Eduard models ( 1996-7 ), the ICM, a 2019 reboxing of their 2015 Soviet version.
Purchases made sweeter, due to some very nice auction prices!
Dave

I'm blaming my complete lack of will power on Dave and Ron for this purchase.

Whilst out on my end of day constitutional, which takes me past Lidl, I somehow found myself inside armed with my credit card like a number of others on here. I did manage to restrict myself to one item though.....

i have wanted these for a while but everywhere I looked was out of stock. I happended to be flicking through an Axminster Tools catalogue and lo and behold, they had some. Only ordered on Thursday so pretty good service.

as an aside, my children (In their 20's) were amazed When I told them that buying mail order in the 70's could mean waiting 28 days so the cheque would clear - how times have changed!

Peter
Great company to deal with Peter, I can remember their first catalogue, it was in black and white and consisted of about 5 pages. Different from today. Bought most of my workshop equipment from them.
