Latest Acquisitions (2022)

A late delivery from postie:

I won the Saab at auction, the same guy had the Bristol on offer - but I gave him a cheeky bid - and he accepted! - best of all, he gave me a refund for postage on one model! - Result! :thumb2:
Happy Dave
The Saab looks like the Blackburn Skua dive bomber.

Nice purchases dave ! Lovely obscure subjects , i love it . The saab looks very reminiscent of the sukhoi su2 , and the Bristol is something thats caught my eye a few times on e bay , its got a definite “ Catch the pigeon” look about it!

That makes much more sense LOL….
I have two AZ Model 109 kits and they both have the same 'short' run. It took me a minute to realise what it meant.

However, they're both G-6s and so I'm sure the only difference is the decals.... Which is even stranger when you consider both are marked as being from JG300...

Looking at Scalemates, they reissued the same kit 13 times with only decal changes..... So actually the kit is not really a short-run kit.

ATB.

Perhaps it’s the decals that are short run LOL…

Wanted it to be in 1/48th,(1/72nd is a bit too small for me!), umm`d and ah`d over which one,and in the end plumped for THIS ........

Andy,
how about an inbox review? :thumb2:

This arrived from Air Graphic Models yesterday. These were common sights around RAF airfields in my day. I was qualified the drive these to tow Sea Kings, total pain. The only bonus was you stayed in the dry if it was raining.
This will be a useful corner filler for vignette or in a diorama.

The M4A2 is for the Soviet tanks group build, while one of the figures is intended to go on the Sd.Kfz. 7 that’s almost finished. I also decided to get the L-4 because of the recent news about Bronco production, and for some time I’ve been wanting to build a model of a photo of one I’ve seen, so better to get it now while I still can ;) The last thing is a set of nine American radio antenna bases for Second World War vehicles, which will probably come in handy because those of plastic kits are always straight, and they are not that easy to scratchbuild.

Got that set Steve, be careful when they are open, easy to knock over. Nice colours as well .

Nice set of kits Jakko. You gave me the idea of running a competition for everyone to propose a possible scenario/story whereby all three could be used in the same vignette.

On the 9th Feb. I did an inbox review of the ICM 1/700 Konig. I said that a wood deck would enhance the model, but they were expensive. Later that day, I went on Aliexpress & got this for £12 delivered and only 12 days from China - excellent service

This will be my next build. It has been a long time since I did German armour. This is a first for me having never built a RFM kit before.

Hi Christos, Don't apologize for the size, I can see them real good. I really like that Trawler. It would make for an interesting diorama. Good luck with these new kits..........oh, Welcome to the forum!
