Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2022)

Although I've suffered from the zero mojo syndrome of late im sure you all know how it is it hasent stopped me being nosey on the old ebay ,first up was a halftrack bought for Daves GB sorry to say not that I couldn't be bothered I wasn't bothered its that mojo thing but must say I have enjoyed the whole groupe build so well done to all thoes taking part.

These next two were grabbed for a fiver cheap as chips but postage was a fiver but if you call it five pounds a pop still good going

Next up was a complete bargin for fifteen pounds and a few pence ,sold as spares as it had been opened ,came from a house clearance ,seller well documented it i couldn't see any sprues missing so took a punt ,result!!

Lastly complete bargin under fourteen pounds I know there mostly 35th scale but I do dabble in the dark arts now and again ,I officially retired on the 17th this month not that it will happen but whilst able to do so will feed the stash

Dave.
Ps how do I get rid of the little thumbnail pics or stop them from appearing there if I press the dustbin it takes out the big pic as well.ey up they've gone
Nice stuff Dave :)
How DID you manage to get rid of those thumbnails?!!.... They annoy the hell out of me too!! :(

And then what I did buy with some of me birthday donations from the scale model shop(thanks John and staff excellent service)

Not including the cutting matt ,some mr hobby aqueous black surfacer 1000 ,a couple of liquid pigments chaos dirt and light rust dust ,John didn't have any loose (5packs)number 15 blades but price difference was so negligible bought a box of disposables. Then grabbed one of thoes paint brushes where you change the ferrule/ brush once again onec you've got the handle tips are the same price as brushes (well what I want to pay for brushes) and one of them wet trays for paint thinking about time I gave up using a saucer for acrylics.
Back in the day I was a member of the Southampton branch of the BMSS progressing from gouache to oils then to drink and woman finally returning to plastic kits but just lately have spent more time than usual browsing the Perry bros web page ,admiring the warhammer stuff sci fi and fantasy with crimbo comming i think some paint sets and figures are on the cards hence the tru reason for the wet pallet and brush and tips ,I've also got the basic set of abtielung 502? oils bought with the appropriate how to book(weathering tonal changing etc)so if the modelling mojo drought continues a change could well be as good as a rest. Oh and ebay struck and robbed me of some funding but once again under twenty a bargin

Um id like to say i knew but when I pressed the post reply button they'd disappeared hence the edit at the end.Andy its one of thoes things now that as a OAP I just think hey ho I know it'll come back no doubt to poke fun at me but till then I'll raise my middle finger in their general direction. Dave

Good haul. Lots to fill up your leisure time there……
You can’t go wrong with Perry stuff, by the way, great sculpts. The white metal figures need a bit more clean up than others, but they are worth it. :thumb2:

A BIG thanks to @Bobthestug for his input on this (no spoilers on this please Bob! ;) )

The big reveal will be next weekend!

If you’ve attached pictures, there will always be thumbnails under the message as you type it — those serve so that you can see which images are attached to the message, and so you can insert them into the message where you want them. Clicking the dustbin icon removes the image from the message, not just from underneath it but from inside it too.

If you see thumbnails under the message after posting it, then you haven’t inserted those pictures into the actual message. Click the Edit button underneath it and put them in in the right places (or delete them if you think they shouldn’t be with the message at all anymore).

So much for "Amazon Day", which should be tomorrow, but stuff is arriving today and Tuesday instead. Doesn't cut down on packaging either....
Anyhoo, some more pipettes, MRP and AK Real don't come in dropper bottles.IMG_20221127_135557.jpg

And then because the cockpit that arrived the other day wasn't just challenging enough......

Good grief….how many pipettes do you use Karl :tongue-out3: I rinse mine after use and so far have managed to get several years out of one of those packets;) Spitty bits look good though.

Easier to get than the thinners I'll need to rinse them with....thinking of getting some glass ones though.

I wouldn’t bother to be honest. These are far easier to use, and most glass ones are still disposable……they don’t need a bulb pipette filler either.

I went to the Hamex model show at Hanslope village hall today.

Bought some very old Mr Hobby Aqueous paints at 11 for £5, and also a box of blades for from Paul who some of you might now as Littlecars. He's got some health problems (haven't we all) so is running his online shop down.

Also had a very nice bacon roll, but you don't need a picture of that!

Damn. Forgot about that and only 15 minutes from me too!

Found this in a charity shop being annoyed as I gave mine away 4 years ago part started I had a quick look and I seemed to be nicely built so far I got home and had a closer look and lo and behold it's the very same one I gave to charity having got bored with it.
I only paid £15 it's for charity so I am not that bothered about it.
Buy a lotto ticket. Now!
