Latest purchases.

Some of the drill bits are ridiculously small but may be useful in the future.
The paints are for my Wessex build :smiling4:

Adams Armour 2 and some red brown primer. I have several German AFVs to build! (Best get on and finish the Focke!)IMG_20230210_111827344.jpg

A double first for me here, first "Roden" kit,and first biplane :)
Been thinking of doing something WW1 Wingy for a while, and Scottie's current "Spalbatros" build tipped me over the edge!
Don't know a lot about these type of things,BUT ,one thing I DO know,is that these S.E.5's were rather good back then :)
As for the kit itself, not a ton of parts, and some flash to sort, but nothing that would put you off.Detail looks ok at a first glance, should be an interesting, fun build. but not until I've finished the Blenheim ;) ....

Cheers for now,

Then a not so reserved trip to another model shop on my way home, I have never seen so many ranges of paint and finishing products in one place, not even with online shops.

Good stuff Karl, especially the Mossie at that price ;)
Have you used that liquid mask before?
Been considering trying that kind of thing for a while instead of buying the Vinyl sets each time.... be interested to hear what you think of it? :)

This morning a sharp knock the front door heralded the arrival at the post room two parcels ,one the new door bell and then this

Accidentally fell into the basket eh Ian?
T'was a private sale he was put off by the size of it. Got it for £100 under shop price. My good lady said go for it. Who am I to argue.
This turned up yesterday:

Been after something along the lines of a Boston, Mitchell or Marauder for a while, but the ones I'd seen were a bit pricey for me :( ....
.... Then I saw this, offered the minimum bid,and.... won it!!
Not quite as good as the ones I mentioned, but pleased to have won it nonetheless....

I built one of those a while back Andy. It’s a nice kit, one of Revell’s better efforts :thumb2:

Morning all

So two real departures for me....almost certainly my first US wingy things....certainly since coming back to the hobby and I don't recall doing any in my youf.

I've been thinking of getting a Mustang for a while - it is one of those iconic wartime aircraft after all- and whilst this wasn't super cheap as brand new, it was a couple of quid cheaper than most other new ones of the same kit.

As for the Hellcat, was not looking for one but I saw it pop up on Fleabay at only £7.00 and not move for days......and so kept any eye on it and went for a last second bid. Snapped it up for £12+very cheap P&P. I've also managed to source masks and etch at such low prices that I'm able to bring it up to ProfiPack standards for less than current ProfiPack listings.

I have been using Vallejo paints for a number of years now and have always been more than happy with them. Both Model Colour and Model Air. Having read good reports of the Metal Color range here on the forum I decided to get some for a future project. I hope they are worth it. As discussed on another thread on the site, the dreaded customs charges bit me. With that on top of the purchase price and postage they have cost me more than the kit they are intended for.

Cheers, folks.

Like Alfa's beautiful looking ships, once I have finished the British and German battlecruiser this is next. Have the 1/350 Roma to build.

Thanks to Andrew, working a treat!

Based on my very limited usage, I have only used it once, you will not be disappointed!

Shame about the tax though.

Had to buy this the other day (well ,didnt HAVE to, but you know how it is :tears-of-joy:) £7.49 inc postage - Yes!!! Like winning the meat raffle !
Its the Kovozavody prostejov ( kopro , KP ) reboxing of the Valom tooling . Very nice and with 3 good decal options. Its a fascinating aircraft and very cool looking , this will go with the Misterkit one I bought from the Cosford air show and the Airfix one I did years ago .ACE9B0DA-5C7E-488E-B149-C30E0E655814.jpeg39F6692D-68B8-40DF-81C4-D36144D9FC96.jpeg

Yes , easily as good as the exalted Tamiya , but with more build options and the decals wont be too thick either :smiling5:
Good point on the decals!! Almost an excuse to get more kits! :smiling5:
