Nice :smiling3:
I know that says "London Bus",but my bus to school used to be a Green one of those....
The no.7a from St.Budeaux Square to Paradise Road in Plymouth, operated by the "Western National" bus company :smiling3:
If I ever get one of these I'd do it as that... for prosperity sake. ;)
Bet that was a Bristol Lodekka though Andy, not a Routemaster like that……..we had the same ones in Salisbury operated by Wilts and Dorset. I used to go to school on a number 19…..

You're right Tim....
Just googled "Plymouth Bristol Lodekka no7 bus" and got this...

... Happy memories of many a chaotic trip to school annoying the general public!! ;)

Two more in my alclad armoury, the armoured glass is supposedly very good for giving that green tint to clear parts.
Though it's a very big bottle for all that'll actually get used.....

Sat flicking through eBay and I found laser cut flying stands, 3mm clear acrylic. My current Spitfire is wheels up and I have only thought about making a base so decided to give these a go.

(The scorching is on the protective film.)

And then while deciding what to build for the Pacific Carrier War GB I had stuck this in my watch list on eBay and forgot about it until the seller offered it at a 25% discount, so being the weak willed individual I am.......

It can be full hull or waterline, comes with a vac-formed display base for the waterline option, which I'm thinking of painting first then, if it looks OK, using it, if not the full hull option it will be.

Well, the postie dropped off 2 packages just before. One small and one huge. One cheap from evilbay and one not so cheap from MBK (Modelbau König) here in Germany. I bought this 1 day before the huge one went on sale,

IMG_3411.JPG
For €26 delivered, I can't complain. Now before the rabble start up, I also have 4 kits for sale in evilbay that run out on Sunday. Stash reduction is still in effect...

Have you ever wanted a kit for over 10 years and then finally get a chance to buy it and not pay €450-€700 or more??? MBK bought a container full of kits from New Zealand and threw them up for sale last Thursday. The demand was extreme and I never thought I would be able to get the one I wanted. It was the most nerve-wracking, stressful 40 minutes in my entire life!!! The last 18 minutes time from shopping cart to confirmation of my purchase was the worst!!!......But as 'Admiral' Bob, Garry, Chris and other floaty's here would say, "my ship finally came in".............(big drum roll)..........I give you,

IMG_3412.JPG
Wasn't cheap, but I don't give a damn, as I finally, after so many years, have my Hansa-Brandenburg W.29!!!...The Felixstowe ain't too shabby either, but it's huge with a 91cm wingspan. The kit is made so you can remove the wings to save space, like the Border Lanc. Just need a larger apartment now.......So who's a real happy camper???!!!...

Prost
Allen, doing the Lionel Ritchie.........."Dancing on the Ceiling"...................

Very nice indeed Allen :)
When you say "wasn't cheap".... Ball park figure?!! ;)

Ok Rabble, thanks for your interest, now please calm down!!! First off, the Panther and my 1/2 track will get finished before any WnW kitsets hit the table. The WnW kitsets that I have will fit in my current spray booth. The Felixstowe would be sprayed in sections and the wings added later. The fuselage is a bit long, but should work if and when I do build it. It's last on the list. First on the list is my WnW's DFW C.W. It will be a test of my wing thingy skills to see if I can do it...

Well Mr. Smiff, first the facts...The Hansa W.29 was released in 2010 and sold out in 2012. Instant collector's item!!! The last one sold in evilbay was part built/painted and sold for €418. Other sellers offer them for €464 to €647 + postage and customs, = €600 - €800 minimum, delivered from the USA and/or Japan...The Felixstowe sells for €318 + postage and customs from the USA and MBK sells it for €323.....I got this kitset for €449 delivered, in 2 days. A lot of cash? Yes! Worth it? MOST definitely! Just do the math above and see why I am totally satisfied Andy.

Time for my lunch of water and a wish sandwich...I wish I could afford something to put between the slices of bread...............

Apologies to the Mods for this long post, but you know how the kids are today...

Prost

I received this from a neighbour today it belonged to her late husband. She asked me if I wanted it. So I have offered to build it and return it to her. As you can see it will be well out of my comfort zone but I am looking forward to it.

I will be after a lot of help from the wingy boys on here.
